Reliable and High-Speed Outdoor Ethernet Bridge for Extended Connectivity
I've recently integrated the CPE502 Gigabit Ethernet Bridge into our network setup, and it has proven to be a robust solution for high-speed data transmission. The gigabit wireless bridge, featuring both 100Mbps and 1000Mbps LAN ports, efficiently supports demanding applications that require rapid network expansion and seamless monitoring. The device operates on the 5.8GHz frequency with a built-in 16dBi high-gain antenna, offering a long-range point-to-point connection that covers distances up to 3KM. This ensures stable and strong connectivity, which is ideal for expansive areas needing reliable network access. Its durable design is impressive, housed within an IP65-rated waterproof shell that is equipped to handle extreme outdoor conditions. Whether facing wind, sun, or freezing temperatures, this bridge performs consistently, making it perfect for settings like factories, warehouses, or rural areas.Setup couldn't be easier thanks to its intuitive A-B dial button and informative LED display. The user-friendly design allows for a straightforward installation process, ensuring the system is up and running quickly without unnecessary complications.Versatility is one of its strongest attributes. The bridge is well-suited for both point-to-point and multi-point network extensions. With dynamic MIMO power-saving modes and automatic power-saving transmission, it efficiently reduces operational costs while maintaining high performance for surveillance and data transmission needs.Overall, the CPE502 Gigabit Ethernet Bridge is an excellent choice for anyone needing a reliable and efficient solution for extending network connectivity across large outdoor areas. Its combination of performance, durability, and easy installation makes it a valuable addition to any robust network setup. Highly recommended for those seeking high-speed and stable wireless connectivity.

Pleasantly surprised
We live in a very rural area and the best Internet we could previously achieve was 30 Mbps. Then our cellular phone service introduced 5G mobile gateways to the area with 1Gbps. YAY! The good news is that we mapped out the signal for the strongest connection in the house and found 3-4 bars in our upstairs bedroom. The bad news is that it was at the complete opposite end of the house from our living room TV, where we watch most of our shows. We couldn't get the signal to travel through the cinder block walls in our house from the cellular router. The wireless bridge, although not entirely intuitive on the installation, fixed the problem. The system includes two adapters with two ports: one for LAN (Internet signal) and one for PoE (Power over Ethernet) so there's no DC cable required to the bridges for power. There are two bridges and two included LAN cables. The problem is you need FOUR. Two cables are utilized to connect the PoE adapter to the Bridge, but then you need TWO MORE to connect the adapter to the LAN port on the device or the router. So, once I tore apart my cable stash in the junk drawer, I was able to make it work. Apparently this device is best utilized in the great outdoors where you have a LAN security camera setup a great distance from an Internet source. The instruction manual claims that it will transmit up to 1.8 miles (Yes, MILES) in open space with no walls in between. Don't know about that, but I can tell you it works in our cinder block wall and concrete roof constructed house about 100 yards away (4,200 sq ft split level home). The signal is strong (as indicated by the strength meter on the side of the bridges) and our Internet has never been faster, greatly in part to the cellular Gateway. But... it wouldn't have been possible without the wireless bridge. I just wish it had come with four LAN cables so it would have been ready to use out of the box!

Manual is confusing.
If you're only going to use without any customizations, it works well out of the box.BUT, it was a challenge to access the web interface and make modifications such as network name, password, channel, etc.The manual that comes with it, doesn't explain the necessary steps clearly, so it takes some time to put the puzzle pieces together.Furthermore, there were settings in the web interface that allowed customizations for 2.4GHz frequency, but no matter the changes I made, it would never show up to connect a device to it.I reached out to support via email, but never received a response. It could be that it's only made for 5 GHz? But why add settings for 2.4GHz then? No idea! It's probably decent hardware, but the manual is confusing and the web interface could be more user friendly.Because it’s so expensive, and the manual is lacking, I give this 3 stars.

Amazing for extending your network!
We have a pretty decent size home and we have a lot of trouble getting the WiFi signal blasted throughout the house, and don’t even think about getting signal outside. This is what you need if you are in the same boat. For those that don’t know what this is, it’s basically like having a wired connection to another router but it’s wireless and it has a really great range. Everything is our house has now sped up and we have eliminated any dead spots. You have to have a plan before you set this up because you also need a WiFi router at each end unless you do a hard wire connection to the other end. So far, we love it.

Good WiFi booster, not sure it's for outdoors.
The description mentions using it outdoors a lot but I don't think the plastic casing would stand up long to the weather. If you're using it indoors though, it worked out great. It does what it's supposed to and has really extended our network. I did have to do some research to set it up because the instructions assume you have some tech knowledge, which I don't. Once it's connected though, it works great.
