Audrey Hepburn Collection - Special Edition Box Set [VHS]

Another great package design and title selection. Ms. Hepburn deserves nothing but the best. Well, almost.Don't be surprised to find the original 2001 master of BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S herein. A remastering was made in 2006 for the 40th Anniversary of this fun film (Mickey Rooney is good, dispite what the critics say) and you might expect that the 2006 copyright on the box implies its use. If I remember correctly, the release dates were off by 2 or 3 months. Boo-hiss! Check out DVDBeaver to see what you're missing.Otherwise, the remaining films look fine. ROMAN HOLIDAY is newly remastered. And BREAKFAST does look okay with a bit of image flattening and some knocked-down focus.Happy viewing!

I was given this last Christmas and enjoyed it immensely - not only was it great over the dragging holiday period where the dang shops are shut and there is nothing of any worth on TV - but during the year I came back to this collection of some of Audrey Hepburn's best films (maybe excluding Paris When It Sizzles) and found that there is a film in this box for every mood. Roman Holiday for when you are feeling in love (but alone), Breakfast At Tiffany's for when you have a sinfully big box of chocolates you just must get through, Funny Face for when you want a smile to extend from cheek to cheek, Sabrina Fair for one of those happily retrospective nostalgia days, and Paris When it Sizzles for when it's raining and dull outside and you need a little reminder of what life's really all about. For male and female Audrey lovers alike, this box set will make an ideal present.. not only that but it looks beautiful on your shelf AND it's easy to wrap...

Audrey Hepburn, screen idol in five classic films, four of which are fantastic. 'Breakfast at Tiffany's' is the obvious clincher of the set with Hepburn's timeless embodiment of chic, you simply cannot take your eyes off her! Capote's gripping storyline makes the best of her fascinating qualities. 'Roman Holiday' is wonderfully nostalgic, and 'Sabrina Fair' is entertaining because it is Hepburn. 'Funny Face' is worth watching if only for the beautiful setting of Paris and fabulous clothes by Givenchy,although Fred Astaire also adds his own brand of magic, complimenting Hepburn wonderfully. 'Paris when it Sizzles' is the weakest of the set but is not bad enough to put you off buying a set of films that everyone who cares about classic film idols and eras, should own.
