I was looking for a compact, engaging game to take with us on a road trip in our camper van – something fun for adults that would also be suitable if younger family members were around, and crucially, something to get us away from screens. The 'Big Fish Little Fish Game' ticked all the boxes and then some! First Impressions & Getting Started: Right from the get-go, the game impresses. It’s nicely packaged with a cheerful, sturdy box and fun, bright graphics that make it an appealing option for a gift (Christmas or birthday, as I initially thought!). True to its promise, the rules are incredibly straightforward and clearly explained. We were a group of adults (all 18+), and we grasped the gameplay within minutes – no lengthy rulebooks to wade through here, just quick to learn and straight into the fun. Gameplay Experience – Laughter Guaranteed! This game absolutely delivers on being 'fast fun'! It’s all about quick reactions, and this element really cranks up the excitement. We found ourselves laughing a lot as we competed to be the quickest. While it offers a nice, light level of challenge – enough to keep you on your toes – the real joy came from the energetic, screen-free interaction it sparked. It’s a brilliant brain-teaser type activity that can liven up even a quiet evening. We played round after round; I can’t recall exactly how long each game took, maybe about 15 minutes, but we were all just having such a good time it didn't really matter! Perfect for Travel & Together Time: For our camper van adventures, 'Big Fish Little Fish' was ideal. Its small size makes it super easy to travel with, and it was perfect for evenings when the phone signal was non-existent or when we just wanted a break from technology. It really helped create some memorable, fun moments. Highly Recommended! Easy game for my young 2 to follow and play.

Due to its size and limited amount of components, this is an ideal game to take on a journey to pass a bit of time. All that is needed to play are the playing cards - no dice or other pieces that are easily lost. The concept of the game is simple and the instructions are easy to follow. It is a good idea to have the instructions available via a QR code too. I do feel that older children may remember some of the answers, however, so I hope that there will be add-on packs available to make the game a bit harder.

I ordered the Big Fish Little Fish Game for our growing collection of board and card games. I wanted something fun to play with our 5 year old. The product arrived neatly packaged and in immaculate condition. The pack of cards comes in a very colourful and vibrant cardboard box ideal for gifting. The recommended age range of 7+ years old seems appropriate and accurate. The concept is relatively simple in that you split the pack into two sets. One card indicates the rule and one a number of objects to identify. If you spot the little fish, enact the little fish pose. If you spot the big fish, enact the big fish pose. It's similar to fastest finger first, where a player must identify the attributes of an object in line with their size, colour or shape in the real world. The fastest player with the correct answer wins the card and the most cards wins overall. We played a simplified version with our son, as he's easily frustrated at 5 years old. It was still a lot of fun and very entertaining. You can have between 2 and 6 players which is handy to play with friends and family. It took us about 3 plays to get used to the rules. Overall, a fun and appealing little game that would make an ideal stocking filler. It's a perfect gift idea for young and old, and a quality item that's highly portable. It also seems to be a reasonable price to pay.
