    Excellent reference for pet owners!

Well written and informatively illustrated, this book is useful for the pet owner, especially if you want to understand your dog's health issues and your vet's recommendations. The book design itself, using paired pages of text and illustration, is excellent for both reference and study. Generally, I consider used books to be a good value. In this case the only pages the previous owner colored over (sloppily!) were the 4 plates depicting the digestive system, which are the most important for me at the moment. So using and comprehending those 4 illustrations is a challenge. (If you need perfect, go for new.) Overall, plenty of useful info for the pet owner; a good investment.

I bought this because I needed it for school. I had a different one that has all different types of species which I like that one for. I like this one because it has the explanations for the various parts of anatomy.
