After more research on 5HTP, I take 1 pill at lunch, 1 pill at dinner and I just started doing another 1 right before bed.I will keep buying this because I like the benefits of this complex blend. The biggest benefit I’ve noticed is that it does help me stay asleep and wake up less often. I’ll also add (especially since adding another pill before bed), my dreams are always nuts now 😅 Nothing like nightmares but just crazy off the walls random. 5HTP is the precursor to serotonin which helps regulate sleep patterns and dream states. I’m surprised their weren’t more reviews mentioning this.Overall, I’ll keep buying this and would recommend if you are looking to improve your sleep.1 Month Update: I started taking this product in February. I wasn’t sure how to approach it so I did what a lot of reviews did which was to take one before bed and just 1 pill to start until I got my footing on how it affected me.I realized that taking this literally before bed as a lot of people did, made my waking up worse. I was super groggy. It also made me have really vivid dreams! I feel like I saw another review that mentioned this too but just interesting!My actual sleep quality didn’t change much. I did see some benefit in my mood being less anxious and controlled by my said anxiety.I went back to read the reviews and a handful actually take this about 2 hours before bed. I take this around 8-8:30 and try to be asleep by 10:30-11ish. This has been really great for me.Upon further research, I saw that it’s actually better to space apart the doses so I’ll take 1 pill at lunchtime with food and the second at dinner time. This doesn’t make me sleepy like it does others. It does help my mind/mood so if my goal is work it helps me focus on that and if my goal is sleep than it helps calm my mind.After going through this bottle, and the nice second bottle they sent, I’m purchasing another bottle because I do see the value in it.Other helpful tidbits - I’ve been on antianxiety meds and I’m not a fan. I do take stimulant meds daily and this has also helped with that come down or “crash” as some call it.Due to my adhd, I was compulsively picking my skin for stimuli and from the “come down” so this has helped stabilize my mood and be more mindful. I did my research and found that 5-HTP without these additional ingredients can boost serotonin but lower dopamine. This complex boosts both! And because it’s natural it’a not boosted either too much! Probably the best way for us to get these naturally since our foods don’t have enough daily and stress is at all time high!UPDATE: still going strong! I did have to up from 2 a day once at lunch an before bed to now taking one at lunch and 2 before bed. Been on this almost a month now and still don’t know if I could go without it. It helps so much. I walked over 6500 steps yesterday and keep getting stronger. The ashwaganda I believe is what expands blood vessels and helps people with BP problems but the anxiety has been little to none and I am so much more present with my family and kids now.I cannot say anything bad about this product. It literally has changed my life. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, RA, anxiety, high blood pressure, and was prescribed pain meds (got rid of those in May), anxiety pills, beta blocker bp meds, and trazodone for sleep. I did not want to consider hormone replacement therapy due to cancer risks so I asked my doctor if I could try Prozac to see if that worked. It did but I was on 10mg for 6 months. Well, I did not want to use that forever either so I did some research, got on Amazon, and found this!HOLY MOLY!! This stuff is AMAZING! I thought I was going to come down hard off the Prozac, but all I had to do is replace it with the 5 HTP complex and it was fine, in fact, I feel better taking this than I did the Prozac! (Please note that you should always seek your doctor's advice when discontinuing any prescribed medication)I have been taking one a night before bed along with 3mg of melatonin and I sleep so well. I did try taking 2 capsules one night and that was not good for me.
