This paper is not 120lb. It buckles when even a little wet. I don’t know what kind of paper it is but it’s not watercolor paper.

It's hard to find an affordable watercolor pad of paper in block format. Makes it easier to paint without the need to use masking tape to affix the paper to a board.

Not the best watercolor block. The pages separated from the block as I was painting and ended up having to tape the sides down. I bought this specifically for the block feature. Decent quality paper though.

The black gum around the block is common to this type of watercolor paper. If it buckles when wet it should go down when the paper dries. You can use an xacto knife to go around the edges to remove the top sheet. The paper itself is good quality for amateurs. Press the finished painting in a heavy book to make it flat.
