Excellent for blood pressure checking
Works well with iPhone. Lots of useful features but the main advantage being blood pressure monitoring. I have checked the results with my blood pressure machine and results are virtually identicalWould be useful to be able to just monitor overnight without the ambulatory setting

Fantastic Watch
Bought for my wife for Christmas. She loves it. Monitors all aspects of health, exercise and diet. Fantastic battery life, great design, especially the strap which monitors blood pressure, strap easy to adjust for comfort. Too many other useful monitoring uses to mention. Can recommend without a doubt.

Could be great with software upgrades
I got the Huawei D2 on release day as I was frustrated with the inconsistent blood pressure readings on both the Amazfit Balance and Galaxy Watch Ultra, both these watches need regular calibration so the idea of a watch that is accurate out of the box was appealing. The D2 is very well made, very solid feeling and not as large on the wrist as I expected (in a good way) the strap is wide but not too bad, the airbag is almost un noticable. There are quite a few health indicators which are useful, obviously blood pressure - which can be measured manually or set to ABPM which will measure automatically while you sleep (I slept ok without it waking me and I'm a light sleeper) and give you a reminder during the day to measure at a period you can set yourself. The process takes 30 seconds and is near enough silent. Stress, artery stiffness, heart rate and a basic ECG to detect AFIB and premature beats are also present. The app is good, very well laid out - however could do with some more insights into the readings to help understand if they are good or bad. For example HRV 48 means nothing to me ?Setting up and using the app was pretty simple - it's not on Google Play store but very easy to download straight from the Huawei website or on the Huawei App Gallery.Steps, sports and other fitness related activities are handled well, there is a voice feedback when running to let you know your heartrate, speed etc and how you are faring against your last run on the same route. Also joy of joys, there's a football option - which just tracks the same as running really butI've yet to try apps like komoot with the watch but have read that it's possible.Smart functions are ok, this is where the watch falls down for me - there is NO voice assistant like on other Huawei watches unless you have a Huawei phone. This is a major miss. All other watches at this price point have google assistant, alexa, bixbi or similar that works with all phones. Not sure of the thinking behind this and hoping that changes with a future software update. Other irritations are the music control isn't where you'd think - ie in 'music' - to control the phone music, swipe right and control on the quick access. There is no shortcut to the volume control for voice feedback - I don't mind the feedback in a run, but during a football game it's distracting and going through the various screens to access the volume control is cumbersome.Battery life is pretty decent. Automated blood pressure does hammer it - but after a day there was still 70% left. A normal day of short workout and working/walking usually drains around 10% a day, so 7-10 days is easily achievable. Charging is a little slow at only 5w but, like all other watches, it's nice to have them off your wrist for a while. So far the screen has remained scratch free, it's not sapphire though so hoping the glass they have used is durable.Overall - very impressive and almost a killer watch - just wish a voice assistant worked with non Huawei phones.
