For people with knee issues ... sitting down in a chair is usually not a problem. However, standing up is a whole different ball of wax! Trying to get out of the chair is not only uncomfortable (maybe even painful) & many times embarrassing, but it can also cause more injury to the person.This chair solves the "standing up" issue.I purchased this for a friend that is over 6 feet tall & is getting ready to have both knees replaced. I am so happy to see him be able to stand up on the first try without any problem. I am 5'3" and can comfortably sit in this chair also.Now he has a great chair to use in the garage, backyard or even inside his house.It is light, easy to move around, aesthetically pleasing, and has a nice tray with a cup holder plus the side pockets.It took a good, solid push on the seat to get it set up. Looks like it might take a bit of force to fold up. Neither he nor I have tried to fold it up. The chair is very sturdy and quite comfortable.I am truly impressed. Best of all, I ordered it from the Amazon Warehouse & saved about $20.00. It took about a week to arrive, but the savings made it worth the wait.This is a great product!Update: 2023 Jul 16These chairs are so wonderful that I have purchased 2 more. Now my friend keeps one in the backyard, one in the garage & another in the family room. These chairs are very sturdy and just perfect. When his sons visit, the chairs are hauled around from the yard to the garage, then the family room and all around again & again. And ... they still look like new!

Bought this chair for work events so that I was sitting higher than the table. It is comfortable and just what I needed. A little heavy, but with the weight comes quality. Love the fold-down foot rest, side pockets to keep pens, phone, business cards, etc. in, and also the fold-down tray for cups and notepad.

We got this for my sister-in-law who has mobility issues and has a hard time getting up and down out of regular chairs at family events. This is the perfect height and sturdiness for her. She loves it!

This is a very good chair for senior that have balance and leg strength issues. It is very comfortable and easy to access and exit. The only issue is the opening and closing of the chair. It is very difficult for seniors with strength issues. We would recommend this chair if you have the strength to push open and pull closed.

The height of this chair is perfect! Easy to go from sitting to standing with no stress on your back or knees. Looks good and built well. Not too heavy for carrying.

We decided to purchase four tall director chair for some not-so-common reasons. My husband and I are elderly and have difficulty getting up from regular chairs or counter stools without arms.First, our kitchen counter stools did not have arms and we could no longer use them safely. We found that new counter stools were expansive and difficult to assemble, We bought these chairs in order to continue to have morning coffee, etc in the kitchen.--and they are greatThe second way this tall director's chair is used is with a stand up desk. I found that I could no longer get up and down from a "normal" desk chair and that standing for extended periods was too difficult for me. I purchased a stand up unit for my desk and matched it with my tall director's chair. The combination is great--this has made working from home not only possible, but comfortableThe third reason we purchased additional chairs was to join in family gatherings Most people have "normal" dining living room chairs. We found that we could not join in due to the difficulty getting up and down--and our discomfort with continually asking for assistance. We thought chairs would be the solution to give us comfort and independence when gathering with family.The fourth way we use these chairs is for casual relaxing on our patio. We do not camp any more, but these chairs would be perfect for thesis who do go camping.These chairs are light weight, yet sturdy. I can carry them from room to room or inside or outside. They are relatively easy to open and close (see comment below). They are comfortable and provide sufficient independence in getting up and down. They take little room to store. I can travel with one or two in my car trunk. My daughter keeps them in her garage for family events. We use them to sit at our kitchen counter, to join in with family gatherings and to sit comfortably with an elevated desk/compute--what more can one ask for.The only caution I have is the degree of muscle strength needed to open and close the chair. This chairs are easy to open for a younger or stronger person, but may not be for an elderly or impaired person. If an elderly person pushes too hard on the arms of the chair, he/ she may lose balance. We leave our chairs open at home--so we have no problems. My family stores the other chairs for family gatherings. An elderly person should ask for assistance in opening/closing the chair which has a degree of tension in pushing the chair arm up or down in order to open/ close positions.

Purchased these to use at vendor events. I sell nostalgic and handmade candies and often do three day shows. These chairs were a game changer. Great back support! The foot rest is good for hip issues. They are a bit hard to collapse but once I got the hang of it, it was much easier. Sitting up a bit higher was helpful for this short person. Very happy with this purchase!

Perfect for makeup artist. Perfect for small height girlies to do makeup on clients.It have a footrest as well which makes it just perfect.

At first, I was a bit hesitant because of the price. Would this chair really be worth it? I am happy to day, it really is!! I have mobility issues, which means that chairs are really important for me but they need to check all the boxes in my list. This chair has it all! The first thing I did when I got it, was lift it to get it out of the bag. That in itself is amazing, because I can't lift much. I also opened the chair myself, and set it up in my living room. Again, I usually can't do that, so it is already my favourite chair at this point. However, the moment I sat down, I reached nirvana. The chair is so comfortable, and wide!! I was able to cross my legs which is one of my comfort positions. The little table on the side is very sturdy but I can easily take it down without moving from my seat. The next moment of truth happened when I needed to get up. I literally could not believe how easy it was!! I have never been able to get off a chair with so much ease!! I have to add though, the taller option would have been too tall for me (I'm 5'2") so I am happy I went for this one. I actually bought this specifically to take it to farmers markets, but I am seriously thinking of taking it with me anytime I go anywhere. I'm even planning to use it in the kitchen so I can cook!! I just got it today but already spent over 30 minutes sitting on it and it did not aggravate my back pain. I cannot wait to use it for reals!!I know this review sounds made up or paid for, but I honestly could not love this chair more. I have fibromyalgia on top of other conditions so like I said, chairs are important to me and this is my new favourite one.

Well built, good materials, exactly as described. I use it at art shows where I have to get up and down all day. The height is spot on and the foot rest works perfect. The table is solid unlike others I have used before and the pockets are a nice touch.

I’m a makeup artist and the bigger size was way too high for me. I’m 5”1 and this chair is perfect! Love the side tray with drink holder too. The real MVP is the foot bar at the bottom.
