Gethsemane, Jesus Loves Me

Wonderful art to support the song and I love how the sheet music is included! Binding could be better but I just went to the UPS store and had it spiral bound so I could use this in singing time.

Love it! I actually prefer the beautifully done paperback. The artwork is excellent. I have not listened to the CD get, but I am Very familiar with song "Gethsemane". Plus the book includes sheet music!

The media could not be loaded.  I wish I'd seen more pictures of this before I bought it. I was thinking it'd help my 4yo learn the song Gethsemane. This does more or less go through the song line by line. However, a lot of the pictures don't really give a visual cue about what the line is. And the text uses multiple fonts, some of which are difficult for a young reader to decipher. I got the board book version, but I'm assuming it's the same pictures and text as any other format. Granted, I understand that some of these scenes might be difficult subjects to depict. My first impression is that it's a collection of very nice pictures of Christ but not particularly helpful for a young child to learn the song.Overall, I don't particularly love this book and probably wouldn't buy it again. But my son does like it so I'll keep it.
