Excellent - But broke after 5 months use.
I've used this on my wife's Macbook (not Pro), Surface Go, Galaxy S8 (with PIE update) and my XPS 13 (9530). It get's used on my XPS 13 every single day. It has been completely flawless in three months of ownership unlike some previous USB C adapters. My only one true criticism is the length of cable. It took me a couple of attempts to find a USB C Extension that would work with it. I'll be purchasing another one shortly for use on my work laptop.EDIT - Update after 5 months use the ethernet port stopped working.

Fantastic hub for MacBooks, probably the best option if you need gigabit Ethernet as well as ports
This is the best hub I've ever owned despite being one of the cheaper options on here. The design and manufacturing is solid, feels like a premium product that will last despite the price. The colour is perfectly matched to the space tray MacBooks. You can barely buy a standard USB A splitter for this price in brick and mortar stores, but this has all the ports I need - specially, has gigabit Ethernet, HDMI, and a USB C charge point, in addition to the USB 3 A ports. When I bought this my intention was to stick it in my bag and take it around with me, but as I rarely need HDMI or Ethernet when I'm out I've just stuck a spare USB C - A adapter in my bag and use this as a docking station at home. A single cable connected to my Mac provides me with charging, wired connection to my network and network storage, connection to my second monitor, connection to my graphics tablet and mouse, and even after all that I still have 2 extra USB A ports left over if I need to stick in a USB stick or hard drive. The only downside is that the materials used make it a bit heavy, which makes me concerned about damaging the port if it's left dangling when your laptop is on your leg.

Hot little hub of metal
Great aesthetics to look at - matches the recent MacBook Pro models well.I've tested (with success) USB, HDMI, Ethernet and passing in power from the MacBook PSU to this adapter - allowing the MacBook Pro to charge from the Hub cable whilst also charging my iPhone X using a lightning cable. No faults or complications to report. One thing worth noting is how incredibly HOT the metal case gets on this hub. My slight worry is how long the hub will last when running so hot. Only time will tell, and I'll update the review if the Hub dies.

Does the job, however quite expensive
It's great and does what you would expect but it is quite expensive for price. I use this with my Macbook since I tend to use a lot of USB ports. The Sound quality is acceptable and decent enough however I have used other usb hubs that offer better sound quality.

Drains battery life a lot
Looks and feels nice, works perfectly fine, but ultimately my mac's battery life is reduced at a faster rate when this is plugged in, even if you only have one thing plugged into it. It gets very hot - I can understand if it gets hot when having 5 or 6 things plugged into it, but it shouldn't need to get hot when there's only one thing plugged into it

Very good value for money
Very good value for money. Would have given 5 stars except that my XPS 13 occasionally complains that the advertised power received from this device is below that which it requires (ie the XPS needs a 40w supply and the device advertised 37w). Would still buy again.

Works great!
Works great! all the ports work but it is worth noting that is supports 4K over HDMI but ONLY AT 30HZ not 60HZ which would be a lot smoother. Everything else works fine tho.
