a fine publication
hard to properly review a book I have not yet finished reading but so far I am impressed. It is well written, the photos in it are beautiful, the text is inspring and very positive in it's purpose to get the photographer out and shootingBased purely on what I have read so far, I'd say this is a good buy

Inspiring
This book is all about seeing opportunities for making photographs. Refreshingly it is not all about technical aspects of cameras etc but ‘seeing’. It is simply written with some ideas for going out and reinforcing the subject matter of each chapter. It was written in 2012 but it is for me one of the best books on photography. For those who already know all they need to about aperture, shutter speed, focal length, ISO etc this is an excellent book to restart your creativity.

Okay book
Not what I expected. I would have liked a little more tuition from the text. However, saying that the book is okay and does demonstrate some creative shots.

Well worth the money
I felt I needed something to kickstart a rather reduced photographic mojo and this book did the trick! Not relying on grand, often American, landscapes and things, it focuses on literally everyday things to be found everywhere - if you remember how to look and 'see'. Superb book. Best photography book I've bought in ages!

I wouldn't have missed this one for all the money in the world.
What a fabulous book - so much information, ideas, inspiration and some fantastic photographs all in one book - what more could anyone want? I wouldn't have missed this one for all the money in the world.

Just a bit dated...
It is surprising how much photography books have improved in the last decade. The content of this is imaginative, but the style of presentation - both the layout and the text itself - is really dated. Amphoto books have peddled this style for a long time but it really needs a refresh. Does style matter? Yes, because the way in which we take in information these days has changed vastly. The images are good examples of what might be stock photography though they are, it seems at least, by the authors - that's an improvement over earlier Amphoto offerings. I ordered this because I was looking at adding it to the reading list for a beginners photography course, but I'm afraid it won't make that.

EXTRAORDINARY EVERYDAY PHOTOGRAPHY
Slightly disappointed in this book. I expected really extraordinary photographs but then I have to realise in this computerised world we live in, nothing is extraordinary any more.
