I’ve been waiting for a proper M.2 NVMe docking station since last year. All the options previously available were priced at ₹3500–₹7000, which I just couldn’t justify. The moment I saw PiBox launch one, at a much more reasonable price point, I grabbed it instantly.What I love:1. Extremely convenient: Even better than the 3 M.2 NVMe enclosures that I already own. I have multiple NVMe SSDs that I use for backups and short-term data storage, so being able to hot-swap them with ease is a game changer.2. Solid build: The unit is heavier than expected (around 110g) and feels very stable on the table. I think the weight helps prevent accidental tipping, when inserting or removing drives. I can tell that a lot of thought must have gone into the design.3. Premium cable used: The included cable is around 50 cm long, which is longer than most others in this category. Even my M.2 NVMe enclosure that I had purchased from PiBox was 30 cm. It’s also a thick cable (around 4.5 mm diameter when I checked using vernier calipers), which is very durable and ideal for both laptop and PC setups.4. Aesthetic and practical: Looks amazing up close. With a regular enclosure, I had to unscrew and carefully place the SSD each time, which got tiring when swapping frequently. The docking approach is far more convenient than dealing with screws and thermal pads every time in a regular enclosure. This docking station removes all that friction. Just plug in the drive and start using it. For someone like me who works with multiple SSDs regularly, that ease of use is a huge win. Highly recommended if you’re a data hoarder, developer, or someone who deals with multiple NVMe SSDs.5. Bonus free stand: I was pleasantly surprised to find a foldable mobile stand included in the box. It’s lightweight, adjustable, and fits even with most phone cases. What stood out to me was the thoughtful message printed on it: "Donate a meal to a needy near you if you find this stand useful". It's a small touch, but it says a lot about the company’s values.

Great product. I got Write speed of 1014 MBps which is very close to 10Gbps transfer speeds. I am using seagate barracuda ssd inside. it looks great and has great finish. The aluminum body helps a lot with heat dissipation.The only down side is that when you install the ssd and then put on the heat pad on top of it and then slide the aluminum body back on, it sort of pushes the heat pad along with the aluminum body thus making the heat pad disfigured. i had to push a little on the heat pad before putting the aluminum body on so that the heat pad is not dragged along. I do not need to take the ssd out ever again so i guess i am good but not sure for the people who would want to take it out constantly.

Bought this to turn my old laptop's NVME drives into external storage and it's working great. When I first checked, I actually thought there was a magnet in the base because it's so heavy - turns out it's just the heavy aluminum build with silicone base that grips. Price is extremely reasonable for the build quality you get. Great for folks who want to switch SSD often.Personal Tip.. Install heatsink on the primary drives only as thermal pads do wear out if you move them around between drives. You can reach out to PiBOX Support for a discounted second heatsink and thermal pad pair. Also.. Don't touch the SSD right after copy. It can get quite hot. Just wait for 30 seconds after a large copy is complete.I will update if i find anything more over extended use.

TLDR: Buy it if you want to clone a drive or use a NVME externally. Use Thermal Pad while cloning.Great product. Bought a 1TB Drive. Used DiskGenius to Migrate OS from a 512 GB DRAM less system drive. Took me 2 seconds to get the drive into enclosure. Very Easy to use. The Transfer took 8+ hours, But the problem is NOT in the enclosure. The 512 GB drive gave me phenomenal performance in the enclosure once replaced (Screenshot below).Now I have a cloned system on a 1TB drive and a Fast AF 512Gb Drive for both mobile and PC usage as the enclosure includes both USB A- USB C & USB C- USB C cables.The Drive looks Sleek. No outer or inner screws. A simple pop in place for shorter drives (below 2280).Includes a Thermal Pad Which is Highly Recommended when cloning drive or any other sustained use.
