I bought Dead Man's Fingers Spiced Rum because I wanted to experience the thrill of potentially summoning an ancient curse from the depths of my pantry. And let me tell you, this stuff delivers!I poured a shot into a glass, lit some candles, and whispered 'DMF, I dare thee' (not really, but that sounds cool). The first sip was like a warm hug from a pirate who's just returned from plundering the Caribbean. It's spicy, it's sweet, and it's got just the right amount of 'I'm going to regret this in the morning' edge.But here's the thing: I think I might have actually summoned something. My cat started acting weird, my plants began to lean towards me (which is either a sign of affection or an attempt to get closer to the bottle), and I'm pretty sure I heard a whisper in the wind saying 'Puny human, you will pay for disturbing the spirits'.So yeah, five stars. Would summon again...just don't blame me when your house gets possessed.

Had this on subscription for over a year now and enjoy it as a drink. Good flavour and great to make cocktails with. Always good product. Last bottle recieved was a bit suspect though. Reverse label stuck over front label. No plastic seal around lid, bottle is more see through than last time and the colour of the lid also different.Not confident in what is actual inside the bottle.

Great value and great taste

I’ve been drinking spiced rum for the last 4 years so I feel I know a good rum, I’m no expert but just enjoy the drink.In the past my go to on the top end has been Rumbullion and for a cheaper rum I usually buy Kraken. Was recently browsing amazon and found the raving reviews of this rum, I was doubtful at first as it was a bit cheaper then I usually buy but I thought why not, I’m very glad I did as I have now found a new favourite!For me this rum is much easier to drink neat then kraken (in currently a/b the two now!), the kraken is a higher alcohol content which explains why it’s a bit harsher tasting, still nice but better over ice to reduce the harshness. Dead mans finger however is very smooth and well balanced, nice complex flavours without being overpowering, I drink it without ice and it works great like this. I would definitely buy this over kraken as a neat drink and would put it just below rumbullion, I don’t think I can now justify the price of rumbullion as right now it’s nearly twice the price (by a few quid)!If you like a more mellow sipping rum that’s smooth and not harsh then this is a great option for drinking neat.Overall if you are hesitant I would highly suggest, I’m about to buy another!

This is my second bottle of Dead Man's Fingers - I am relatively new to rum drinking, and started with 'Kraken' which I wasn't a fan of, then tried Captain Morgans, again wasn't a huge fan.Went to 'Pussers' (not the gunpowder one!) and enjoyed that, had a nice taste to it, then over to DMF which initially I wasn't sure on, but it grew on me and has become a favourite!It's worth bearing in mind it's usually drank with some coke zero, ice and a slice of lime - my go to recipe is 2 x double shots of DMF, 1 large slice of lime and a glass (pint size) full of Ice, then add coke gradually as you drink - it sounds a lot, but I don't go back for more and it lasts a good hour or so.Short of that, recipe for straight is 3 x single shots of DMF, small glass, lots of ice, and a wedge of lime.I decided to buy another bottle of DMF as I had a bottle of 'Woods' rum, which tastes far too acidic for me, I won't waste it, but it's not a good one in my opinion.I do think the 'Kraken' rum deserves another chance so will probably try that again next, but this one (DMF) which be a firm staple in my drink cupboard!For the record, I ordered in April 2022 and didn't get the Santa bottle :D But wasn't bothered either way, the contents are what I was interested in! Lovely!
