SAKURA Koi Water Color Brush 9-ml Tank, Small Round Brush 39121

I absolutely love these little water brushes. They're cheap, easy to use, and do their job beautifully! I like that there is no button or pump mechanism, you just squeeze the barrel and out comes the water. They're great for watercolor pencils, woodies, inktense or the like. They make outlining of sentiments smooth and quick. And they don't cost a fortune per brush. All in all very happy and eager to continue using these brushes.

It's compact and portable. It hasn't leaked since I got it. It's easy to fill and use. I got this at a great price. (Though I did wait for a price drop.) It cleans easily so you don't get any muddled colors. What more could you want in a water brush?

I like this brand a lot. I have purchased many over the years. Well shaped brushes and good water control! I appreciate that the different barrel (tank) sizes can be swapped with the different brush sizes. This is great for carrying them in different sized travel paint kits. Although the little stoppers seal well, I wish there were a better way to store them when not in use, OR that I could buy extras. I always manage to lose some over time. Nice Quality!

I tried out the water brush idea by buying this little brush. It did everything it claims and was VERY convenient to carry around because of it's small size. It was actually too small for what I needed so I bought the larger sizes and I love them. You can easily clean these little brushes on a paper towel to switch paint colors and they are great if you journal with watercolor pencils. 4mls is a tiny amount of water so you may want more than one size brush.

I bought a Sakura Koi watercolor set, planning to take up some urban sketch using pen and watercolors. I knew ( and still know) precious little about watercolor painting. But the water color set came with a free 9-ml. tank watercolor brush. I started playing around with it and was amazed at how much more portable and convenient it made a set of traveling watercolors. I bought two others, one smaller and one larger than the one that came with the watercolor set. They were inexpensive, simple to use, and of excellent quality. The brush points held their shapes, made applying water colors extremely controllable, and were easy to rinse pigment out of. A heck of a good idea!

This works really well and is a great addition to the medium and large size brushes. It is perfect for traveling or working outside and the best thing is that the bristles on the brush are of good quality that holds it shape. I do a lot of watercolors and wanted something I could take traveling so my regular brushes wouldn't get ruined. Plus they hold the water! I was concerned about the cleaning of the bristles with color changes, but if you follow the directions it is not a problem.

I have been enjoying using this brush. I like that it is tiny and good for smaller detailed work.

I bought this pen as a replacement for the pen that came with my Koi Sakura watercolor set- my parrot ate it for lunch. The pen that came with that set was great. This is the same quality, but the barrel is about a thrid smaller at least. Its shorter than most pens so it's a bit awkward. I'm pretty disappointed in the size. I wish I could just buy another barrel!

Assez déçue de ce réservoir à eau Certes il est pratique pour transporter, mais sinon, pas intéressant ! Les poils ne sont pas correctement insérés dans le port, ils bougent comme s'ils allaient sortir ! Au niveau du débit d'eau, cela semble correct mais quand on appuie dessus, le flux d'eau est trop important, cela déborde, pas de rétention correcte finalement pour transporter oui, mais si vous voulez de la qualité et pour débuter non merci, dirigez vous vers Caran d'Ache, Pentel et Derwent !!

Really lovely little brush. Much smaller than all my other water brushes. But, that does not hinder it in any way.,I actually prefer the smaller size. Does not drip. Can easily control flow with kitchen roll before you start. I have quite a few water brushes and I find quite a lot drip, suddenly release a flood of water or are a nightmare to fill. This is filled by the sink, so expect to get a bit wet. But, as it does not suddenly lose water it stays full and is easy to control when painting. I love both my koi brushes. I keep testing them, especially at the moment as I am doing a swatch book of paints and watercolour pencils. I also have a selection of 'normal' brushes to test. So they are all being put through their paces - I keep coming back to these. Maybe one day I will find some brushes that beat then, as today I am doing paint tests and also testing suitable brushes, I may find new favourites?
