Manageable lessons
A page a day is very manageable for homeschool. Great for filling portfolio log book!

Great for homeschooling!
Easy to follow, daily workbook. Each day has a short text to read, or chart to analyze, followed by a few questions about the daily topic. Could be used as complete curriculum, but usually my kid has further questions about the topic and we google or YouTube to add to the daily lesson.

A nine year old likes it.
My godson’s nine year old son who wanted to learn more history enjoyed reading the pages and answering the questions as a weekend project. It was a learning game for him. He’ll do more next week end. See my review of the related Geography book.

3.5 stars for quick and easy learning
I bought this to provide some sort of social studies curriculum for my 4th grader during his year of virtual learning. He wasn't issued a social studies text book and seven weeks into the school year, his teacher has not given any social studies lessons, so it is up to me to make sure he learns at least some history. What I like - I like the lessons aren't drawn out. Each lesson is only 1 page long. There is one paragraph and a chart of some kind and a few questions. Some questions are straight forward and some require an appropriate level of critical thinking skills. One lesson can be completed in under 20 minutes. What could use some improvement - the quick and easiness of the each lesson is a double edged sword. Nothing goes in depth. The lessons are very superficial. This is great if you are merely wishing to use it as a supplement for a more in depth curriculum but I wouldn't suggest it as a sole source of lessons.

👍
Easy daily work in social studies. Each lesson is short, to the point, and my child is able to do them without much assistance. I homeschool more than one child, so the fact that it's engaging enough that one will do them on their own is helpful. Only minor issue is that this book refers to native Americans as American Indians... Not from India, not Indians. So I just crossed out their verbiage and replaced it accordingly. Other than that, great addition to our home education curriculum.
