SATC 5 PCS Strip Discs 115mm Stripping Discs for Angle Grinder Paint Stripper Wheel Rust Stripper Disc Quick Abrasive Discs Paint Rust Oxidation Remover

I purchased these for stripping back a number of paint layers from my narrowboat roof rails. Whilst I have many years of experience using angle grinders with discs and flapwheels, I had never used this type of product before so was somewhat skeptical of how it would perform. Upon receipt I noted the 'nylon' type 'woven' construction that is impregnated with some form of bonding resin which provides the high-density structure stated in the description. To be honest whilst I found the discs to be of a good quality, I was apprehensive regarding their effectiveness and longevity. Boy was my apprehension misplaced! These discs are remarkably hard wearing, rapidly stripping multiple layers of paint with just a light 'scuffing' of the steel below. This is all done with the minimum of heat generation and I always felt in complete control of the tool. No digging in or tracking off in any direction other than where I wanted to go. As for longevity? After around 3 hours of use the first (and only) disc used is showing minmal wear to the leading edge. Oh, and as for clogging, nothing. Not once did the disc become bogged down or require cleaning. I'm not easily impressed with modern takes of existing products, but these strip discs are simply head and shoulders above the more conventional wire wheels/flapwheels. 10/10

Very effective I would never go back to using a wire brush style again that sprays you with sharp metal pieces they lasted long enough for the jobs I need easy to change and will use for stripping and sanding most jobs in the future as a lot safer solution

The SATC 10 PCS Strip Discs arrived the next day. The strip discs were well packed. There were 10 discs in the pack and they were 115mm/4 and a half inches in size and each disc was covered with silicon carbide with a course grit which work on a max high speed of 11000rpm. There fitted my grinder very well and when I used then to remove some rust on some metal railings they worked very well and next I am going to use them for some Paint removal on some old thick paint on the stair post which I think it will work well. We are pleased with these discs as they work very well and quickly on rust we think we will get a lot of use from them.

For the price I wasn't expecting much and because I had a horribly rusty and badly powder coated steering protection bar on my land rover I imagined it would eat them up and still be rubbish. How wrong I was! I used a single pad and it cut through the powder coat and rust like butter leaving a bit of metal that seriously looked like it was polished chrome. Genuinely outstanding. Few coats of zinc paint and few more of satin black and the thing looked BETTER than new. One tiny downside is they are thick and normal chuck and tightener can't lock but a screwdriver and a bit of pressue and it was fixed.

These do the job of removing paint and just very well, my only issue is that they wear out far too quickly.. if you have a large area to do I would consider alternatives.
