So far good. I would say the lever can be less flimsy but it works always. The battery notification is helpful and the auto lock function works well too. Installation is fairly easy, just follow the instructions. However i have to say it is difficult ish to get the seal to properly seal the lock against the door for weatherproofing it. For the price, this is an excellent smart home lock that you can open/close from anywhere. No additional subscription needed. I actually used this to replace my schlage. The schlage build quality is nicer but i don’t think it’s 8x nicer compared to this.

Initially had some issues with battery discharging faster than I expected but, geez, eufy have the greatest support I ever talked to. Issues were solved in no time.

I have been an Anker/Eufy fan for many years and have owned several of their products, but this has been my worst experience yet. I bought two of these locks, and while both installed easily and worked fine for about two weeks, they eventually went offline. I tried restarting my WiFi and removing and reinstalling the batteries, but neither lock would reconnect to WiFi. At this point, both locks were still connecting via Bluetooth. I then visited Anker’s support site, which directed me to completely reset the locks. Following their instructions, I reset one of the locks, which caused it to be completely removed from the Eufy app. When I attempted to set the lock back up in the app, it consistently failed at the WiFi setup step and could not be added back to the app. Since it is no longer set up, this lock cannot even be controlled via Bluetooth. Frustrated, I contacted support (which is only available via email). Over two weeks, I went back and forth explaining and re-explaining the issue. In the end, support said there was nothing they could do and advised me to use Bluetooth to control the locks. Because of the time wasted working with support, I am now outside the return window. As a result, I have one lock that is completely disconnected and cannot be controlled at all, and another that can only be controlled via Bluetooth when standing right next to it. Terrible experience!

Such a disappointment. It started out like it was going to be a real winner and went down soon enough. First of all, I have 5 bars of WIFI by the lock. I have the lock on static IP and 2.4ghz locked in via my router. Here are the issues. 1) disconnects randomly. 2) Unlinks from smarthings link 3-4 times daily - making it useless for automations 3) no push notifications sent if deadbolt cannot push out for door ajar -- it shows that this happened IN THE APP only. 4) Slow app startup, even on fast phone and 4) Corporate greed - NO Android widgets for lock and unlock... they want to force you to use their app ecosystem for all lock/unlock ops since the app it is where they post promotions, I guess. This would be a full on failure if you hope to manipulate lock I give it 2 stars and not one because. They made it easy to add other users. It works fine as a regular keypad lock. The time-of-day lock usually works fine. It looks nice. It was easy to install and pair up over Matter - something I have to do regularly. I'm now on the search for a replacement.

Just installed this and so far so good. I had a wyze lock and it would ALWAYS jam up. No matter how much I messed with it. And it would wine and squeel to close and kill the batteries in a few days this one fit perfect. Build quality is nice but much more plastic than the all metal wyze lock but for my use case it works very very well so far. Matter set up was also very easy. Eufy app select matter then go to whatever app you have for your smart come and connect. 30 second set up in Google home app for native use right in the app and with Gemini. For the price this is a hard simple but useful lock to beat

CANNOT REKEY THIS LOCK. Do not purchase if you want all of your locks to have the same physical key in the end. Other than that, works great, seems to be reliable after a month of use. Easy to install, looks nice.

About the battery life: It’s advertised as 8 months. However, within 3 months I received a low battery notification. It took 2 and a half months for the lock to fully die (though periodically it would still let me unlock it). So, in all it lasted roughly 5 and a half months. Given that it requires 8 AA batteries it’s nowhere near as efficient as a Yale, but fair for the price point. The lock was used at most 2-3 times a day, every day. It is used in an outdoor casita and seems to hold up fine with indirect weather. I would recommend not connecting it to HomeKit via Matter, as 90% of the time it failed to work and it drains the battery even more. I would disconnect it from wireless connectivity entirely (wifi, Bluetooth) if possible so it will more than likely be much closer to that 8 months of battery life. Overall, given the price point, I would recommend it as it’s never once failed to lock / unlock and it’s very easy to install. Just understand the caveat with battery life.
