Safety first
Wanted something to have in the car and handy on walks. The natural fit in the hand and a gel means you won't have to worry about being a victim of your own use. And it wouldn't be easily mistaken for another tool. Kimber is a familiar name-brand, so that made it an easy choice.

Addition of clip favors right-handed users
I have owned the PepperBlaster 2 for several years. When my last one expired, I ordered a replacement only to find out they are now called PepperBlaster 3. The difference is that the current model has a clip on the right-hand side of the pistol. It appears to be for the purpose of keeping the handle more accessible in a right front pocket that the clip attaches to. Thatβs great if you are right-handed. The clip is not usable if you keep the pistol in your left front pocket. The clip is not tight so it depends on the weight of the pistol to keep it securely inside a pocket. If I were left-handed, I guess I would clip it onto a belt and then conceal it with an untucked shirt. But a lot of people donβt always wear a bel. I do wish the company offered the option of having the clip on one side or the other at time of ordering.

Purpose built design
I love the design of the pepper blaster and the piece of mind it gives me. I had the pepper blaster 2 and put a a clip on it, and love that now it has a clip included! The shelf life is 5 years too!!!

Seems great, hope I never need it
This is hard to write a review for because you hope to never have to use it. I have seen some YouTube videos on its effectiveness though. So this review is about the form factor. With other pepper spray I worry about accidental discharge and blow back. This form factor takes care of both of those things. I ended up getting a holster. The clip is almost useless. I had it clipped in the back of my pants and it fell into the toilet. I went with red because it looked less like a gun.
