I've been using this brand of seal for years. Just as good as ever. If you are a homeowner, be sure to install it properly. I've seen homeowners install them backwards and they won't work like that, also, be sure to keep the sealing surfaces clean.

Not much to add. This item works perfectly. Not a big deal to replace the item provided you are a little mechanically inclined and willing to take the chance to do the repair yourself. I have replaced these seals several times. I have the time to do it, therefore my time is cheap. If you have never replaced this seal before, consider how much your time is worth, and make the decision accordingly.

I could not exactly figure out the proper installation of this because it did not come with any directions. My husband and I ended up googling and youtubing this product to find the proper way to install it. It does the job, but wished it would have come with directions for proper installation, would have made my life a lot easier.

Only rated it a 3 because it is not a US Seal product but a no name product from Mexico. Looks the same,as the US Seal product I resealed my pump with. The two weeks I purchased are spared and I will use them as needed. Hope they function ok.
