This is the only place that I can find the basic meat puree level one baby food. I feed this mixed in with my cat’s wet food, as she is getting old, and I have to give her powder supplements. It entices her to eat it. In addition, she is a chronic vomiter. My vet has said to try boiled chicken and rice, when there are GI issues, but I’m a vegetarian and will not be cooking that. This was another option given. As long as there is no garlic or onion, and this is not all you feed your cat every day, this type of baby food is ok to feed. Always check w/ your vet. It smells horrible, but cats love it. I had a diabetic cat several years ago that I used to feed meat puree baby food to for similar reasons and you could easily find chicken, ham, and turkey puree in the store. I would prefer to not give this cat chicken, since the vet thinks she might have a chicken sensitivity. However, I can’t find turkey or ham at the store, or online. Baby food added to wet food, or as a supplement on occasion, is a great way to get your cat to take opened capsules, powdered/gel supplements, to entice eating, or settle the stomach for a little while. Ingredients are simple and the food can be stored in the fridge for up to 48 hrs after opening.

I'm pretty happy with this baby food and I give it to my small dog so she'll take her supplements in the morning. The ingredients are very simple and has nothing that's harmful to her. She's 10lbs and only gets one spoonful in the morning with her crushed Silymarin liver supplements.I stopped trying to give her wet dog food because she doesn't like them for some reason, but she really likes this baby food! I realize it has chicken broth in it so it's a bit watery and I don't know why I thought it would just be mixed into the chicken, but it's fine and not a big deal since my dog seems to think it tastes delicious and that's all that matters. Otherwise, I would have a hell of a time getting her to take her supplements.

My current little one (14 months) and my previous little one both have enjoyed the Beech-Nut veggie pouches, especially the Zucchini, Spinach, Banana one, and also the Beech-Nut Fruities pouches. I thought that these would be good to try, too, since there is a little bit of meat mixed in (although far from the first ingredient). My 14 month old took one sip, shook his head in disgust and threw up his milk. My other 2 kiddos wanted to try it, too (baby food is a novelty when you are not a baby) so I let them. One of them hated it and the other ate half of the pouch, but didn't finish it. I also tried some and think this is pretty gross tasting. Of course, everyone has different tastes and you might love this, but our family is just going to stick with the veggies and fruities until my youngest out-grows baby food pouches.

Love to see so many comments about how this has helped their pets. My senior beagle along with a couple of our senior cats have benefited so much from this. Their appetites are spotty but this is almost always a win for them. Safe and delicious. One of the cats likes his diluted a bit to thin out the texture. This baby food has been the best addition to keep on hand.

Love the simple ingredients, a lot of other brands add garlic or onion so it’s not safe for pets. My cat loves this as a treat, she is old and her appetite is on and off. I use it to make frozen food treats for my dogs. It’s a very thin texture and does have a strong chicken smell. I put it in kongs and the woof pupsicle mold to freeze- works perfect. I keep a couple jars on hand since it’s such a quick easy way to make toys for them. The price here in Amazon is much better than in the grocery store.

Our cats enjoy this as a treat. This has a lot more water in it than another brand. That would explain why it costs a little less.

Give this to my cats as a lick treat. So much better than what is offered as cat treats. This has no gums or anything else added other than meat and broth. Very good quality and the cats love it.
