I understand kimchi has pungent smell but this had really strong bad smell. And I'm pretty sure it was mold in the cap and as the kimchi was fermented, the juices leaked as soon as I opened the bottle and I noticed the mold in the cap and in the edges of bottle. I'm not sure if I can return this product now so I'm just posting a review and I'm really afraid to taste it

Firstly its made of regular cabbage, and not Napa cabbage (this is mentioned in ingredients list)and that changes the texture completely. Next, the dominating flavor is spiciness due to the Red chilli, instead of the tanginess due to the fermentation, which is teh trademark flavor of a good Kimchi batch. Also there is no Kimchi liquid inside the bottle because somehow the fermentation isnt adequate? Kimchi is eaten like a side dish or like a pickle many times. and this one just doesnt make the cut. Its at best a spicy cabbage pickle, def not traditional Kimchi!! WIll probably not be buying again.

Bad, doesn't taste like real kimchi...this feels like a local desi jugaad, that is similar to original kimchi but doesn't give the actual taste n texture...no crunch in cabbage, chilli feels off n spice...tastes more like cabbage pickle than kimchi
