Works like a champ
No issues with installation and fit on a new Group 27 battery. Based on initial testing, the switch works - tighten knob, engine starts, loosen knob, no power to vehicle. We'll just have to wait and see how well it holds up over the long haul. So far, so good.

Well built.
Works great. Installed easily. Put on a boat that I'm not using as much anymore because I can't afford it cause Joe is taxing me into the stone age.

Purchased for my boat batteries.
Used to prevent battery from draining when not in use.

Works well and is a very reasonable price
I have an old convertible that has to be stored in the winter. When stored, I disconnect the battery and put it on a trickle charger. I must have a short somewhere, because even during the summer when it is getting periodic use, the battery will sometimes drop down too low. I used to disconnect the battery if I wasn't going to use the car for a while, but that was a pain because the terminals can be hard to get to.Then I saw this cutoff and decided to try it out.The installation wasn't bad, the hardest part was because of the car rather than the disconnect switch itself. It works very well. Now I don't have to mess around with taking the terminal connectors off or any of that. I can just turn the handle and connect or disconnect with no problems. I can use the disconnect for short term or long term storage and it is saving me time in both situations.I was also able to position this in a way that conveniently worked for the car's teeny battery compartment, so it should fit just about anywhere if I could manage it in there.

A life saver, and way cheaper than the alternatives.
Dollar for dollar probably the best purchase I have made in several years of purchases in the automotive department. I looked around all the local auto shops and several websites where I was expected to spend several times as much for a battery power cut off. I found this one to be cheap and reliable, easy to install. All you need is the proper sockets or a good adjustable wrench. Be careful not to put lateral pressure on your battery posts, which should be obvious. Then you just need to to turn the knob all the way counter clockwise to disengage. You can check the first time to make sure you are doing this correctly. This is an alternative to having to pull the battery cable off the battery post if you have a parasitic drain on the electrical which you cannot fix. It may also have an anti-theft application although anyone who can figure out how to hotwire a car can probably get around this. In my case, the diagnostics do not reveal the battery drain and having replaced two batteries I have decided to just live with the need to disconnect overnight. This little gizmo fits the bill and I can't imagine spending more for fancier solutions which do exactly the same thing.

It works
I bought this one to replace an old one that was broken. It was easy to replace and it works as it should. I am happy with it as it works well.

Not solid brass.
Item description says "solid brass made". Well, it's not made of solid brass (see cross section in photo). It has a plating that might be brass along with a steel bolt and nut..I wasted a lot of time looking at other brands for solid brass. I chose this brand based on what the description said. I had this on the battery for less than a month, and I'm already seeing oxidation. Too many dissimilar metals attached to the lead battery post in my opinion. Missed the return window by a couple of days..I don't think anyone is making this in solid brass. The "Die Hard" brand has something similar that"s supposedly made of lead. The local auto parts store carries it. I haven't checked it out yet.

Works very well!
Installs easily on negative (always negative!!) battery post perfectly. Put one on each of my F-350 batteries to quickly disconnect when doing service. So much easier and cleaner than removing negative lead off the post each time!👍

assembly integrity
A parasitic battery drain was creating problems in a vehicle - wanting an inexpensive solution I installed the disconnect. My problem / the factory crimps used to maintain component alignment were not tight enough and allowed misalignment to occur. When the knob was loosened off, the component with the bolt hole tilted enough to allow minor contact between the contact surfaces. I loosened off the knob, hit the door lock button and the locks worked, good thing I checked. Easy peasy to fix, turned it on it's side, placed it on the anvil and re-crimped it with a small hammer and punch, totally fine. Do not assume it is disconnected and test before leaving the vehicle. The vehicle I used it on has remote locks, try to open locks, try lights, honk horn, or??? Switch has been installed for 1.5 weeks and as far as I know, all good.regards all

Works great for my RV
Bought these for my rv. Was getting tired of undoing the leads from the battery after each use so installed one of these and I'm pleased with them.. Just a few twists of the nob and power is disconnected.
