Great resource for introducing science to kids
This book contains over 100 craft-oriented projects that can be used to teach science. The crafts are oriented around science themes including diffusion, surface tension, gravity, and friction. Some of the things that make me really like the book are:- A suggested age level is listed for each project- The authors list all the necessary materials and give clear steps for doing the project- They give variations to each project- They give an explanation of what is being learned in the project- The art techniques used are identified at the top of the page whether or not the child will need help- The level of preparation necessary for each project is givenThis is a very well thought out book and the projects are interesting. I love it.

Such a cool book
This is a great book for really fun projects that integrate both science and art, and had simple explanation for why things work the way they do. Recommended for early elementary, though some of the projects would be fun ( but not necessarily educational) for older kids.

arts and science
This book is a wonderful way to teach scientific concepts to early childhood and elementary age students. The activities/ "experiments" are easy and inexpensive, but clearly convey the concept being taught. Highly recommended.

I was searching for a good Art book and my mentor suggested me this book.Because I bought this book as a used so I wanted to know the book looks like. Toddlers Love Art Program
My toddlers (ages 2 and 4) enjoy learning new things. This is a great resource for them for a mom with no science background.

A little more science than art.
I was hoping for more "art" projects. This feels more like science experiments. You would have to do some thinking to turn some of them into finished projects to do with students. I bought the book to see if I could get any STEAM ideas. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art an Math) The book is divided into 5 chapters: Water & Air, Light & Sight, Motion & Energy, Reaction & Matter, and Nature & Earth. It would be nice to have a color picture section of finished artworks... it seems like most of these would be abstract works-- or experiments that don't have a finished product. There are science terms linked with each page... like "magnetism" and an explanation of what it is.

Excellent Science and Art work!
This is a wonderful and creative book. It has excellent Science explanations and offers variations for the projects. We'll be using every lesson out of it for our homeschooling.
