Is it best to use distilled water?

If you have very hard water with a lot of minerals, I would say to use some kind of filtrated water. I have super hard water and I have to use CLR all the time to keep the mineral build up off. I bought a water filter for my hose and it helps as well. As for the unit itself, I think it’s great and does work well in the 115 degree weather in SoCal desert!

what area will it cover? 300 s.f? 600 s.f.?

We use this while under a 10' umbrella that covers a tables and 4 chairs. Or adjust it and then the table with 4 large chairs under a 12' umbrella are covered as well. It covers this whole area. How would one measure the s.f. coverage...it does all we need/want it to do!
