Q: Will this work/repair an 8 inch windshield crack.?

Asked my mechanic husband: Yes you can fill the crack with resin. It may last for a while or may not. It's just a bandaid so be aware of that.

Q: How long does resin stay under pressure before removing the unit?

Every chip or crack is different. Takes practice and patience. Several training videos available on YouTube, very helpful tips and recommendations. Good luck.
