Good size and tight seal
I have been trying to use less plastic and these are great. The lids are plastic, but do not touch the food. The lids snap on and create a tight seal. I use them in the freezer and refrigerator.

Good product for a cheap price
Trying to go glass with storage as opposed to plastic. These are big for many foods and close tight. Recommended!

really good choice
I really like these bowls! The ad kept saying jars, but they aren’t jars, they are square glass bowls with smooth flat edges and sturdy lids that make a tight seal. They don’t look like it but they really do hold 32 ounces, I measured to make sure. The lids are plastic but seem thicker than the usual lids with flaps that are all the rage now.Just make sure you have the lid positioned on top properly before pushing the flats down and yes it will take a bit of muscle the first few times but the seal you get is worth the effort.I have a plastic bowl that I cover with foil. My roommate ends up tearing it or just laying it across the bowl and the contents dries out.I decided to use one of these glass bowls to store chicken salad in the fridge. It was still as good three days later as it was when I made it, and that other bowl is hystory. These lids differ from other lids in they have a vent cap in the center for microwave heating. The bent is rubber remmed like the lid so as long as it’s closed whatever you put in there will stay fresh but when you need to reheat it, just pop the cap up and it will release steam while cooking in the microwave.I haven’t tried that yet so will report back if needed.I like homemade chili and usually end up storing the leftovers in the refridgerator in the cooking pot.I plan to use one or more of these bowls next time. It will take up less room in the fridge, will fit on smaller shelves and I may even pop the second bowl in the freezer for later.Just make sure to keep these away from those people who like to tap, “more like sslam” spoons etc, on the edge of bowls. They Are glass and may chip. I took the metal spoon away from my roommate and gave him a nylon mixing spoon to stir that chicken salad.I have lots of plans for these bowls, I just hope four is enough. They will serve just as well as canisters for dry goods and look nice while doing it too.

Nice Size
Nicely sized container for any leftovers. The glass they're made of is very thick so it can withstand heat or cold. It feels like a very nice quality item, similar to the more expensive brands.

Great set of washable glass storage containers
I make too much food and always wind up having to freeze at least some of what I've made. I was skeptical when I read that these glass storage containers could be used in the freezer but it is true. The lids seal nicely and don't spill when tipped. The thick "pyrex" glass can hold hot or cold items. I love this set and I'm looking to buy more.

Thick glass and good lids
These glass containers are thick and sturdy, with latching lids that seal well. They're a great size and versatile. Very pleased!

Fair price for four glass containers.
I’ve slowly been doing what I can to replace all of my plastic food containers with glass ones, since the plastic ones are apparently a health hazard.I’ve now been using the plastic containers for things that are already in a wrapper (we only have an open-shelf pantry, so I try to corral things to make it look a little tidier), but the glass containers are awesome for snacks that are grab-and-go, like my husbands gummy candies.Roughly 7 bucks per container is a pretty good deal for what you get. I would note — and this is for most glass containers I’ve acquired so far — that the lids are still plastic, so you may not want to let your foods (specifically hot foods) to touch them.I probably won’t use these for soup for that reason, unless it’s something I’m just keeping at home. I got a stainless steel thermos for traveling with soup/other hot foods, which keeps the heat better anyhow. As far as the size goes, these will definitely hold a larger can of soup (like a Progresso or a Chunky soup can), and probably close to 2 of a smaller size, like a Campbells. The lids have the steam-release on the top, which is nice for letting cooked foods cool a bit before popping them into the fridge or freezer. The containers run through the washer spotlessly, but the lids do need a little wipe down after (water marks on the plastic).
