When I was a boy I used to love Winnie the Pooh so when deciding what to get my niece for her christening I immediately thought of him, and a book she could grow with and hopefully love as much as I did. I was deciding between a few different copies of Winnie the Pooh but eventually settled on this and I’m so glad that I did.It’s a beautiful book with a dark maroon canvas like material as the cover in a similarly coloured cardboard slipcase, with a bookmark ribbon and satin pages. The text is nice and big for little eyes to see, but not too big that it would make reading awkward. Sprinkled throughout the book are lovely hand drawn pictures from the stories and poems. It’s a big book, about A4 size and it has a bit of weight to it too.Overall I’m extremely happy with the book and look forward to reading my niece some of the stories when she’s a little older.

Excellent quality definitely a heirloom

When I was tiny I used to read Winnie the Pooh, watch the old films, I even had the toys. To this day I absolutely adore these characters and even drink hot chocolate from an Eeyore mug from time to time. While I can't speak for the quality of the contents, what I can say is that these sorts of memories, these stories which played a memorable part in my childhood and in those of countless others deserves special treatment, and here it is.This was bought as a Christmas gift for my girlfriend at the time, and like me she adored Winnie the Pooh as a child and it still holds a special place in her heart. The gift went down an absolute treat. It's a glorious, beautifully presented edition which treats the timeless characters with the love, care and respect that they deserved. While we're no longer on speaking terms, I hope the girl in question still has this in her bookcase at home and that it continues to bring her the sort of happiness it did when she opened it.This is a veritable treasure trove of memories, one for adults to hold on to rather than their kids and one to be kept in a prized place on any bookshelf. I may even be forced to buy another copy for myself.

An absolutely beautiful collection of all of the stories and poems

I adored Pooh when I was little, and I adored reading it to my children when they were little. Now, my children are adults too. No grandchildren to read to yet, but my nephews have started having children, and this book makes a wonderful christening present - just how many Beatrix Potter mugs and sets of little cutlery do people need?? I can't wait to start reading it all over again when they are old enough.It's a beautifully produced book. We have already presented two as gifts, and I have already bought a third and stored it ready for when our third nephew's first born is christened, in case they go out of print. I guess I should do the same now for our potential grandchildren...Wonderful.

This is a lovely present, it is bigger and heavier than i thought it was going to be. The pictures on my book are absolutely fine, i know some people say they have had problems but i havent noticed any. The pages are very thick paper so 'should' be quite difficult to rip. Its what it says on the cover! plus for the price i paid, i cannot complain.

If you can believe that childhood and the love of a boy (or girl) for his:her teddy bear has a magic beyond words, this book will take you to that magic place and give you some of the most moving experiences that human culture can offer. Every time if even think about the final chapter of 'House at Pooh Corner' tears well up inside me and I am filled with awe and wonder, and for some fleeting moments relive the unequalled wonder of childhood.These books - more so the stories than the poems - belong in a special place on everyone's bookshelf labelled 'Time Travel' because they take you unswervingly back to time when one could construct a perfect world with one's toys.If you have a son, daughter, grandson, nephew, whatever of six or seven years old, there is no greater joy that you can give them than reading them these books, and when you understand the true meaning of them, you will be, like me, convulsed with tears when you come to the end of them.

This item was advertised as having slight damage to the box sleeve, and the price was a fraction of the recommended retail price. On delivery I was highly delighted to find the damage was very minimal ☺️. All in all I'm extremely happy with my purchase and will use this company again.

Ich bin schon seit Jahrzehnten ein Pu-Fan.Und jetzt endlich habe ich mir die englische komplette Version (vor allem auch wegen der Gedichte) gegönnt.Schnelle Lieferung, gutes Preis-/Leistunsverhältnis.Leider war die Verpackung an einer Ecke gedrückt, und somit auch am Schuber und Buch leicht eingedrückt.Aber: das mindert nicht die Geschichte.

Livre magnifique, toutes les histoires de Winnie transcrites sur papier glacé, grand et beau format.Très belle addition pour une bibliothèque.
