Phillips Sonicare Ultrasonic Toothbrushes are the absolute BEST!
I've been using the Phillips Sonicare rechargeable toothbrush product line since the were introduced to the market, I believe since the late 1980's or early 1990's. Over the years the Sonicare toothbrushes have provided exceptional dental care for my family. Sonicare products quickly vibrate dental debris from your teeth at over 30K vibrations per second, and each handle provides a timer so you can easily clean each quadrant of your gums and teeth withing 2-3 minutes. It does take you about a week or two to become comfortable with the vibration technique used by the Sonicare Toothbrush, but the toothbrush is made to clean slower during the first few weeks so your gums and teeth will adapt to the dental cleaning process. I am so comfortable with the Sonicare cleaning system, and over the years I do not even notice the cleaning vibrations, in fact, if I use a traditional toothbrush, I miss the cleaning effect my Sonicare provides. There are many 'levels' of the Sonicare toothbrush line, some prices range from as low as $30.00 US dollars, and other Sonicare toothbrushes are priced near $200.00 US dollars. IMHO, all Sonicare toothbrushes clean using the same, 30,000 vibrations pre second technique, to IMO the less expensive Sonicare brushes clean just as effectively as the higher priced Sonicare brushes. Keep in mind that the high-end Sonicare brushes provide some wonderful options that might fit your taste, such as, gum cleaning, ultraviolet lighting to clean the toothbrush heads, and other new options. I just want to state that the less expensive Sonicare brushes clean your teeth equally to the more expensive models. I've used many models and base your purchase upon your family's dental care needs. If you have extensive questions about the Sonicare toothbrushes, contact Sonicare. Also, many dentists recommend Sonicare toothbrushes for family dental care. You can talk to your dentist. Also, many dentist offer coupons for their patients to purchase a new Sonicare toothbrush system, ask and see if your dentist has a Sonicare coupon. The Sonicare Toothbrushes are extremely dependable. I've had several Sonicare toothbrush models over the past 25 years. Yes, the charging handle, or battery, will eventually stop working, but I've had charging handles last for years of repeated daily use. How long your Sonicare Brush handle will last is very dependent upon how much your faimly will use the toothbrush. For a family of two, I would expect many years of daily, rechargeable use, with zero problems.Several years ago I purchased a high-end model from Target Stores, and after about a year of use the handle battery stopped working (would not charge). I called Phillips Sonicare and the company was quick to look up my registration and send me a replacement battery handle for my unique Sonicare Toothbrush System. The customer care team at Phillips Sonicare is first class and will work fast to address your problems and help you fix your Sonicare (be sure you register you new Phillips Sonicare when your purchase from either a store or online, Amazon). Finally, I've recently noticed several knock off brands, marketing their vibrating toothbrushes to the Sonicare customer base. I have never tried these competitive brands, but IMO Sonicare is the original maker of these wonderful toothbrush systems. Phillips Sonicare has been in business for over 25 years, and they make an exceptional, quality product. Their product and customer care is proven, and for me and my family I place my trust in the Phillips Sonicare toothbrush Brand.Take care and enjoy your Phillips Sonicare Toothbrush System!

Works great, at a good price from a trusted brand name.
A pretty good electric tooth brush and a pretty good price. These things can get expensive if you really want to go that way. For a first timer, however, this is a great starting place.I have owned a previous Sonicare tooth brush. A pretty higher end unit. I received it free from a friend who got it from his upscale dentist at the time (good insurance back in those days). That was 12 years ago. It long since died and went to recycling. After that we (the family) went back to simple tooth brushes and dabbled with the battery powered super market spinning brushes.I finally decided to go back to this kind of brush after burning through yet another set of double A batteries on the cheapo brush. One of the nice things about this is that it uses wireless charging from its own custom stand, and the battery is built in. And you only have to charge it every couple of weeks. So I charge mine over night, then put the charger away until I need it again. If you have never used one of these, the first time you do use it will feel very strange. You are not likely used to the buzzing feeling on your teeth. However after a couple of times you get used to it, and then don't notice any more. This has a training / ramp up mode where it starts off weaker and then builds up to full power over a couple of days / uses.So how do they make their money, if this costs so much less then the higher priced units? In replaceable brush heads. They suggest replacing the brush portion every couple of months (or was it monthly?). The cost of a multi pack of brushes is low enough that this isn't a big deal.If you are looking for a unit like this, then this is a good one to get.The brand has been around a long time. This one feels quality built, and is a lot lighter and smaller than the one I had 12 years ago. At $50.00 (as of 7/8/2017), it is a good enough price that you are not throwing away too much money like you would with an over the top higher end unit would cost you if you do not like it.

End of life review
My product is at the end of its life, so I thought I'd give everyone my two cents. I have had this for almost 5 years now. It still works, but the battery has less endurance, but metal prong the toothbrush head fits onto is rusted, and the on/off button cover is wrinkled and coming off.My dentist badgered me about getting one of these, and I obliged them. What a difference it made. Everything I researched said a normal toothbrush works just as well, but my dentist let me know there was a big difference after switching to this.Operation: You have 2 minutes of brushing as soon as you hit the on button. It pauses and beeps at every 30 second mark. You are supposed to brush a quadrant of you mouth in that time, and then switch quadrants at the beep. At 2 minutes it turns off.I wish it kept going. I have problem areas in my mouth that sometimes require a bit of extra time. Initially, I kept running short on time on the last quadrant. I would turn it back on and finish. The next time I used it the first 30 seconds seem to go much faster as if it kept track of the time I turned it on the previous use. It may just be my imagination though.Also. Don't turn this thing on before you have it in your mouth. That is a great way to get a face full of water and toothpaste. It is not a fun time.I highly recommend this for first time users.
