Small Tablet, Big Energy
The newest Amazon Fire HD 8 is one of those devices that just quietly gets the job done. The 8" HD display is crisp and bright enough for Netflix binges, YouTube spirals, and late-night scrolling without feeling bulky or heavy. With 3 GB of memory, it runs smoothly for everyday stuff, browsing, streaming, Kindle reading, light games. It’s not trying to be a powerhouse work machine, and that’s kind of the point. It’s built for relaxing. The Hibiscus colour is a nice touch too. Subtle but different enough to stand out from the usual black slab. And at 32 GB, there’s plenty of room for apps and downloads, plus you can expand storage if needed. As for the “with ads” version, they’re just on the lock screen. Quick swipe and you’re in. For the price difference, it’s easy to live with. Great sound quality and the parent controls always does the trick for me. If you want something portable, reliable, and perfect for travel or sofa time, this is a solid little companion. Simple, affordable, and does exactly what most people actually need.

Great value tablet for everyday use
Really good value for the price. The screen is clear, battery life is solid, and it’s perfect for streaming, browsing, and light use. It’s not a high-end tablet, but for everyday tasks it does the job well and feels reliable. Ideal as a family tablet or for kids.

Amazon tablet Fire hd8
Great Budget Tablet for Everyday Use — Especially for Amazon Users I've been using the Fire HD 8 (2022) for a few weeks now, and for the price, it's a solid little tablet that gets the job done. Pros: Affordable & Durable: For under $100 (and often on sale), it's hard to beat. The build feels sturdy, yet it's light and easy to carry around. Battery Life: Easily lasts 12+ hours with casual use. Great for streaming or reading without constantly reaching for the charger. Amazon Integration: If you use Kindle, Prime Video, Audible, or Alexa, this tablet makes it all super convenient. Speakers: Surprisingly good stereo sound with Dolby Atmos for watching videos. Cons: Limited Apps: Since it doesn't have the Google Play Store, you're stuck with the Amazon Appstore. Some popular apps (like YouTube or Gmail) aren't natively available, although workarounds exist. Performance: It's fine for browsing, reading, or streaming, but don't expect it to handle heavy multitasking or gaming. Screen: The 8" HD screen is okay—not super sharp, but good enough for casual use. Overall, it's a great choice for kids, travel, or anyone who needs a cheap tablet for streaming, reading, or light web browsing. Just know what you're getting: it’s not a high-end tablet, but for the money, it’s a great value—especially if you're already in the Amazon ecosystem. Would definitely recommend for casual.

Amazon Fire HD 8 - Black
Item arrived on time, well packaged and undamaged. Study well made tablet that is the perfect size for me. I bought it in black and at 1st appearance it looks very shiny and expensive. I bought mainly to use as a Kindle as I wanted to be able to see my book covers in colour and I’m pleased with that. A versatile tablet that is the perfect size, that is comfortable to hold if you’re reading or using in general for a while, to slip into a small bag and carry around. Perfect for reading, watching movies or browsing the internet. Lovely screen colours that pop and a responsive screen make it my perfect companion. Battery life is quite good and gives me quite a while of reading time. No plug supplied, just the USB C cable required for charging. Downloadable APPS are limited as there is no Google Play store.
