EchoCheck™ Smart Propane Tank Sensor

Such a simple and easy to set up device. It lets you know what percent of propane is left in your tank. I used to have two propane tanks for my gas grill, so I could swap them if I ran out of gas. Then I went to one tank and refilled it when I thought it was getting low...for all I know it may have been 25% full and thus I was wasting money. With Echocheck, I know exactly how much gas is left, so when it gets too low for another cookout (I typically use about 8% each time I grill), I get the tank refilled. No more wasting money! No more running out of gas halfway through grilling! App is simple and has a great display showing the percentage of gas remaining as well as the battery level. The bluetooth connection is quick -- displays results in a second or two -- and it had a long range. I checked results while in my garage which is a pretty long distance from the tank. Couldn't be any happier with this device.

I purchased this for my propane gas logs which I have 100lb bottles. The instructions are vague but bottom line I t didn't work. Showed empty tank no matter how much propane was in tank. The manufacturers customer service is the worst. Each email took 4 days for them to even respond. Then they stopped responding altogether. I loved this IF IT WOULD HAVE WORKED! Look for another manufacturer.

The app is pretty straightforward, showing you the propane level as a percentage. The convenience and peace of mind this little gadget provides is invaluable. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it. It's a small investment that can save you a lot of hassle in the long run. I'm definitely glad I got it.

It arrived promptly with a dead battery, I eventually learned after wasting time trying to synch it. No instructions in the package. The instructions online were of no help figuring out how to open the case (or do anything else) to replace the battery but I pried it open and tested the battery - 0 volts. The tiny yellow rubber insert that seals the button to push for synching flew off when the case popped open - pro tip: open the case over a barren surface so you can find the yellow rubber piece when it goes flying. Not easy to keep the yellow rubber piece in place while closing the case. So, started over on the tedious synch process which eventually worked. Once you get it working, it's pretty cool to see a graphic of your tank level and a percent full (based on the tank size you enter after successful synch).

Cheap construction and didnt work 50% or more of the time. I bought this for reliability... but the app was hard to use and the ability to sync the product was difficult. I have used other similar, slightly more costly sensors in the past... and they work! These don't. Not worth the money and the effort.
