A nostalgic look for any shelf or countertop area. Emits quite a bright light and is adjustable.

The lantern is metal with a glass globe. Finish and function is better than the Seasons lantern in my opinion. The red can be toned down or dirtied up with some spray paint if you're looking for something a little more rustic. Considering the extra cost of modifying the Seasons lantern with an led flicker bulb since it is way to bright and a bluish led light, I prefer the end result on this one. I recommend frosting and blackening the globs on either lantern for the best effect. I personally think this looks more realistic and I like the brightness control too. Without frosting the glass, for close viewing I find the flame on this one to be a little cheezy looking since you can see the plastic flame rocking, but with frosted glass it's perfect. Nice little prop for your haunt, better, cheaper, and takes less work to make it great.

These lanterns are great! Exactly what I was looking for. The look like the real thing and I challenge anyone to tell the flame from the real thing. I use them for decorations at Christmas but they can be used as a light source. The light is adjustable and they are weathered which really makes them look nice. Also the batteries are installed so you can tur them right on out of the box. They are a little bit smaller then standard actual oil lanterns but don’t let that dissuade you. They are very nice. I bought two and love them.

The other photos are quite accurate. I bought 4 of these, I'm thinking of purchasing more. The ambiance they provide is really great. The flame looks great with the lower light setting, but they get bright enough to be actually useful camping or just out on the patio on the brightest setting.The dimming feature is just okay, it's more like a few steps than a nice, soft transitional dimming, but for the price and features, I'm completely happy. I really either have it on high or low depending on the type of light I want and this works great for that.I originally purchased these for my halloween display, I wanted some lanterns in the yard next to tombstones to add some depth. So far, we've been using them at night on the patio and carrying them around they are so fun.

This is an old-fashioned looking metal rustic lantern that runs on 4 AA batteries that will last (according to the maker) 9-80 hours depending on the knob-adjustable brightness level, which if true seems good to me.The light is bright enough to put into a room and play a boardgame, even if not set to the highest setting, but is not going to be as bright as most white LED electric lanterns or even most traditional incandescent light bulbs. It is more for atmosphere and very soft lighting.My only complaints that keep this from 5 stars are two things:1) The little plastic fake flame makes a very quiet tapping sound every second or two as it gyrates and hits the metal rim. This could potentially bother somebody who craves complete silence, but it's really not too much louder than the ticking of a watch.2) The light it gives off is a bit too orange. It should be slightly more towards the yellow spectrum. But it is still nice and it sure as hell beats harsh white LEDs.Overall this is a very good product for its purposes and price.

Horrible packing led to a great product arriving damaged. Battery door broken, wires disconnected, wick bent.Happy to say Amazon customer service reimbursed me right away.The people who prepared this order need to pack better.This lantern is great, and the flame looks real! We already have one, and were looking forward to more.Bummed.

I stumbled across this last halloween and I just can't stress how great this thing is for my purposes. I ordered another this year. It's clearly made from a real oil lamp so it's totally authentic looking. The simulated flicker flame looks absolutely real from only a few feet away and is ridiculously convincing in my halloween setup while being safe and hassle free. The knob hidden in the reservoir cap allows for just the flicker flame, or continuously dims up to provide even more light for practical usage. Just tickles me so much to find something like this. Anyone else would've just vacu-formed some old lamp and stuck an emitter in it. Batteries seem to last forever, too!

Cute design with flickering flame. Very realistic, bought for my camper. Lasted less than one week. Switch stopped working!!!!Called service number that no-one answered. Left message that no-one answered. Tried to issue complaint to Amazon no response. Now the thirty days are up. Amazon Prime??? What a joke I'm canceling my subscription.I loved this lantern was planning to purchase many more for friends. Also make drift wood and horse stirrup wall hanger for the many lanterns I planned to purchase and sell at our local farmers market. Is this a common problem? Where is seller when you have an issue?

This Latern is a really great One of a kind piece. Works very well with a cozy soft shine.

This lantern has a good weight and feel to it. It is metal and glass, and NEBO have done a good job of giving it an aged look. Unfortunately the performance does not match the looks. This unit relies on a small flame shaped piece of plastic which had an LED shining on it from below, and air directed at it which makes it wobble. Whit is a common way of creating a flame effect. The colour is good, with a pleasing yellow glow. If you turn the lamp up, several LED's inside the top come into play to make the lamp brighter. Unfortunately, the small plastic "flame" clicks against the side of its housing, which wouldn't be a problem if it didn't do it rythmically. My lamp sounds like a clock ticking as the "flame" taps against its housing. After a while the constant "tick, tick., tick" drives me nuts and I have to turn it off. It's a real shame as they have nailed the look. It's just so damned annoying to use!

Battery powered handheld lamp! Love it! We use this for our show, it's pretty bright for a tiny light bulb.

Exactly what I expected.
