Value for money.
I needed the smallest convenient cooker for my family and at 5litres this came in handy. First I got shipped a broken unit probably from a return which I promptly sent back. Amazon sent in a replacement in 48hrs. It has been a dream cooking with this, insanely efficient, easy to clean and less messy (they all do). On an induction cooker, it actually reduces cooking time thereby saving energy even further. A must-have. Good product

Bad buy
Totla regret. This is not steaming any longer just steams from under. I will not advise anyone to get this. This is a waste of money.

Hard Anodised 5L Pressure Cooker
BEFORE 10 MAY Check virgin media to adjust dd amount or CANCEL the £75 DD Check Birt gas payment account Check the council tax thing Review updated after further use: I’m new to using a pressure cooker, but I found this one easy enough to get the hang of. The instructions were mostly clear, and the safety features made me feel a lot more confident – the pressurised cooker is designed to be hard to open until pressure has been released (just make sure you don’t force it!) And there is a fast release vent. Please please read the booklet first to ensure you know how to use a pressure cooker safely. You must only fill it to maximum 2/3 full to prevent issues, and 2/3 is for things like rice. For stews only half full. It is large enough that for a stew it will make up to 6 small bowls or 4 large bowls full. It’s a good size for batch cooking meal prep or if youre cooking for a few people, and i found it easy to clean too. Overall, it’s made cooking stews much faster and I will be trying out more recipes in future. Definitely happy I gave it a try! Also, its worth looking up pressure cooker safety stuff online to find out which foods need to be handles carefully when cooking with a pressure cooker e.g. how to ensure thick foods like thickened stews should be handles and how things like milky recipes that might boil over should be handled. Notes: 1. You must press the lid on while sealing/closing it otherwise the seal wont close properly and you will not achieve any pressure. Make sure to push lid down when closing! 2. The gasket seal does smell a bit like rubber – I washed it several times but it still smelled a bit. Then I rubbed some vinger on it for ten minutes and this helped the smell go away. I used apple cider vinegar. 3. The only thing I thought could be clearer in the instructions was how the visual pressure valve thing works. Its actually v simple, but as I was new to pressure cooking I was a bit wary. You just have to lift it and slide the knob either to the high pressure or lower pressure setting. Also, when you want to slide it to the fast release setting, you can do it by hand because the steam will be released from the opposite direction. You can use a butter knife to move it if you are cautious. 4. Also, the small grey knob on the lid will be raised when there is pressure inside the cooker, and will go back down when pressure release is complete.

Very good quality pressure cooker
I might not be too knowledgeable on pressure cookers but I could tell almost immediately that this was of pretty decent quality even if I understandably had to do some self research on how best to use it, the fact that it has various safety features and handles that stay grabbable took away most of the worry of using this sort of thing for the first time. I appreciate that the basket looking part has sections so you can separate different parts of a meal in which you can in fact do entirely using this though admittedly I did not try anything fancy during my 'tests'. I note that you can make things like meat quite soft with this which combined with the apparent preservation of things like vitamins in vegetables (since it doesn't get lost like when boiling them) its pretty good to get for health reasons even if you think it doesn't effect taste too much, I quite liked the results of the meals I cooked in this personally and I wouldn't be surprised if it does effect the flavour of things though I am not knowledgeable enough to make claims on that. What I can say though is that this is pretty recommendable especially to those that like trying new things and cooking.

Really clear instructions, and a few recipes, chickpeas were so much better than canned
We are new to pressure cooking, and so the really clear and well written instruction were brilliant. We cooked potatoes first as suggested, then the vegan Chinese rice dish from the recipes. Then we cooked soaked chickpeas and plain brown rice. Everything tasted great. It's a good size and we cooked brown rice for 5. It cleans easily and the cooking time is much faster than boiling, especially for soaked dried beans. The safety features that are well described are very reassuring. It's great that you can move between 1, 2 and 3 with a wooden spoon, so you don't have to get close to the steam. We will definitely try loads of other things over time, but it will be now are goto device for beans and chickpeas, which we will eat as is or use to make dips, the taste is so much better than the canned ones. It will also be really economical and save space in our kitchen cupboard as dried beans take up a lot less space than canned beans.
