Perfect item for a homemade desk unit. Really finished the job and very professional looking.

I bought this recessed power socket to add a clean, hidden plug system to a central coffee table. The idea was simple, make it easy to plug in laptops and chargers directly on the table without trailing cables everywhere. What worked: The design is genuinely stylish and looks very tidy once installed. Being recessed into the furniture keeps everything neat and uncluttered. Having multiple power outlets along with USB A and USB C ports makes it very practical for modern devices, especially for charging laptops, phones, and tablets in one place. The cable length is also generous enough for flexible placement. What didn’t: The main downside is how stiff the power sockets are. Plugging anything into them takes far more force than it should. It feels awkward and a bit worrying having to push so hard, especially when it is mounted into furniture. It works, but it is definitely not a smooth or easy action. Would I recommend it: Yes, with a small warning. It looks great and is very useful once installed, but be prepared for a tight fit when inserting plugs. If ease of use is a top priority, this could be annoying over time. Final note: It’s a sleek-hidden power solution, but every time I plug something in it feels like the socket is testing how badly I really want electricity.

DO NOT BUY. Ive had this installed for about 3 weeks and today it started hissing then popped, throwing a spark out as it did so. Nothing was plugged in at the time. Extremely dangerous and could have been much worse

We used it to add a sockets to a custom built unit in my daughter's room, her bed covers the existing socket and so became inaccessible. This has been great for adding a power outlet to another part of the room.

Looks great and I like the usb-c and usb ports

I really like the product, but it has a constant low humming noise. As it is fitted into a shelf over the headboard of a bed, it is too annoying to put up with. There is no on off switch to try and get around this. I am returning it, but will try and get another in case it was a one off issue. Fingers crossed! I will send review on replacement.
