Awesome Tactical Pen
Been using it a month now. It's pricey, but the quality is there and smooth writing ink cartridges (comes with a spare), nice it comes with a spare. I have the green one. I'll see how long it takes before the color starts to rub off. I like that the pocket clip allows for deep carrying. I don't understand why some people complain about the size as it's not much bigger that other tactical pens (although a smaller one would be nice as well. I also haven't had a problem with mine where the glass breaker or pen portion was out of alignment. I also appreciate that it was designed to look less tactical and is unobtrusive. So far, my only issue and it's small is that the stud for engagement is brass colored. If it was black or matched the color of the pen's barrel, it would be perfect.

Fantastic Pen and Customer Service
I purchased this pen a month ago and it does not disappoint. The bolt action is fun to fidget with as well as incredibly smooth. The fancy German ink used in the pen writes with grace and ease. Also, the knob on my pen came out (it unscrews, so be careful) and when I reached out to customer service they responded almost immediately and sent me a whole new pen at expedited speeds. Customer service deserves an extra three stars. Pen is fantastic. If you are used to regular sized pens and would like to keep that size go with the small bolt pen not the XL. But if you are happy with some heft get the XL, I enjoy it quite a bit.

More of a weapon than writing instrument
Good build quality, just not what I was looking for. It felt like more of a tactical weapon than a writing instrument. Went with the Nitecore instead.

Nice EDC writing pen
Pen writes well and the glass breaker works. My only complaint is the glass breaker points out a little, it has not been a issue but it would have nice if did not.

Length could be shorter by 1/2~1/4 inch
Update: 5 stars for customer service and outreach. In their defense, this is the "XL" version of the pen. Off-Grid is known to make XL sized knives and tools. And they make trimmed down counterparts. When the non-XL version comes out, I will be sure to give it a try. When I hold this pen, the grip is not intuitive. With the glass breaker tip deployed, the pen should be long enough so that my hands do not go near the glass. However, it should be short enough for control for hammer strikes.Pros: not too heavy yet substantial and sturdy. Great styling and thickness.-3 stars due toCons: 1.Due to spring strengths, the tungsten tip sticks out a bit at rest. 2. There is tip RATTLE when writing. 3. The length of the pen could be shorter. The pocket clip dip where the pinky should go is at the wrong place. Shorten the pen by 1/2~1/4 inch and it should be golden. Should be ok for giant Nephilim hands. For comparison, look at a different tactical pen. This pen’s pinky groove is too high. Should be lower. But, it is more comfortable to hold than the Off Grid.

Beautiful and functional.
I was concerned about the writing style due to the size. It turned out to be very comfortable and writes wonderfully.

Seems well made.
Everything looks great so far. Appears to be well constructed and stout. Writes well. My only nitpick so far is that the tungsten tip still sticks out about half a mil when the bolt is retracted to the carry position.

The design is better than the build
It's not as well made as I'd hoped. The bolt has already snapped off from me using the pen as a fidget toy.It was cool while it lasted though... (All of one week)The grip is nice. I like the weight and the Schmidt ink cartridges write very smoothly.
