Went in like butter…
Showed up overnight- and was a bit nervous after reading a couple of reviews here- The shaft that arrived was taped- all the joints were in good shape- brand new and without a scratch- I’m not too concerned about foam protection I’m going to go out and try to bend it on a rock, or snap it trying to climb up one. It’s gonna get covered in salt, water and mud- sheesh. ;) Installation went faster than removal, everything fit very well. One small tip- you will think that differential yoke is slightly too large in diameter to fit and seat properly. Tap with your hands on a piece of water until you can get a couple of threads on the nut, tighten with a ratchet and it should snug right up nicely. Extremely hard to get a torque wrench onto the flange and cv bolts, 1/4” drive or thin-wall on the cv side helped. Not a big fan of the 2x the mini-ubolt connection on the differential side, but the best thing was $300 more, so I liked them a little more than the first look. Going out to test now in some dirt, but 20 miles so far on the road and no vibration so far. If you don’t hear from me- it did wonderfully. I know it makes a lot less noise than the old stock unit.

Don't believe the 2 day delivery
Great quality, easy install, and I saved $40.00. The most disappointing part was on the Amazon delivery time, I didn't order it from Rough Country directly because I needed it ASAP, Amazon promised it 2 days well I didn't get it until 4 days at the end of the day, so if you are in a time crunch, don't trust it. If you have time, save yourself the money.

Order it from Rough Country
Originally ordered from Amazon. The driveshaft wasn’t taped up like all of the installation videos from Rough Country. This caused all of the pins to fall out of the U joint. I contacted Rough Country personally and they sent me out a new driveshaft and this one was completely packaged and taped up beautifully. Installed on my 2012 jeep wrangler with no issues and works great! I recommend ordering from Rough Country directly

Very poor quality!
Don not waste your money! After driving for about 15 miles the center joint failed on the T case side. And cracked my T case !!!

Great upgrade
Good replacement for the stock driveshaft. If you put a lift on, you should replace front driveshaft. Original won’t last long at the lifted angle. May have to change rear drive shaft eventually, and if I do, it will be with a rough country shaft. I didn’t like the needle zerks, I had to buy another tip for my grease gun, and it’s hard to not make a mess with this style of grease application. Overall, a great upgrade.

Perfect fit, better than the original. Recommended swap if your WRANGLER is even 2 inch lifted and you do some off-roading.
