This test mold kit seems to be in great shape. The mold Petri dishes were delivered in two separate sealed airtight bags. Vacuum sealed. There was a detailed booklet describing step-by-step instructions along with do's and don'ts of the process. The booklet was color printed and does a great job of describing different types of mold that could be present in a home and what their various danger levels are or reactions that humans could have to them. The little booklet itself was super informative and straightforward as a basic educational tool.I have not had a chance to test the mold kit yet to see if I have mold in my house but so far this kit is looking like a good and thorough option to try and test for self Mold test kits.

It is a very good product and necessary when you are in a rental property. Living in a space with mold is very dangerous for your health and landlords don't always test for mold and maintain the property adequately. It is best for the renter to get these test and do it. The value if this product for the money is great. The test is accurate and it is easy to use it.

The kit came with easy to follow directions. It included gloves and everything you need to do the test. I sent in some samples and received a reply in just two days. The explanation of mold types was easy to understand.

Works but kinda wasted money because you can't take these to a mold place they use there own. So more for personal usage

This kit tests for mold. It comes with 12 petri dishes that already have the agar set in them. They are sealed VERY well in 2 sets of 6 petri dishes each. Has labels you can write on, 12 swabs, and 2 pairs of gloves. There is also a very informative Booklet for those that need more information including tips for cleaning up mold. Easy to use and lab based quality.

I tried three different brands/products for at-home/DIY mold testing to compare which one was best. This one won, though not by a huge margin. The short version is that all DIY tests seem like they are very approximate at best, mostly because it seems like ID'ing a specific species is actually pretty difficult. So if your needs are to know whether or not there is mold present (without much chance of confidence about what kind or whether it is harmful or harmless) then any test is probably going to do the trick. But if you need specifics or confidence, your best bet is probably going with a lab. But make sure they aren't just selling you a DIY test!Tests:CCNZHA - this brand won the contest for several reasons: it had the most sample trays (petri dishes), the instructions were the most clear and the growth was the most robust. Also, it was a grow-at-home variety, which in my opinion is better because you get many samples to test in different rooms.Revanak - this brand came in second because while it was a grow-at-home variety, it only came with 5 trays, the instructions were confusing and the growth wasn't as strong as compared to CCNZHA.Midwest Enviro Solutions - this brand was the only one I tried that wasn't a petri dish, but one that is sent to a lab on adhesive slides. The hope here was that what is lost in variety (it only comes with two tests) it gained with accuracy and specificity. The response time from the lab, but unfortunately the results were not particularly useful because they just gave a genus and no more detailed information. Based on my non-expert searching, I could make no particular assessment with just that. I don't think there is much value in this approach without either much more detailed information or an expert to interpret the results.

The product and service are great. The petri dishes (and other items) arrived quickly and well packaged. The 12 dishes were divided into two sealed packages which is excellent for before and after testing. The included booklet was informative and explained the sampling procedures for various scenarios.After exposing the dished mold began to grow after 1-2 days, as it should.But most noteworthy was the email identification service included with the product. I sent photos of the growing dishes and the various types of mold were identified. The identifications appear to be accurate for visual only identification. The reply email was rapid (<24hours) and professional.I would certainly buy this product again if the need arises.
