I recently received the comparator set from Altitude Craft, and it’s a well-built, highly detailed tool for precision reloading. It’s as fully complete as any other set out there. I’m currently using it on both .223, 28nos, .30-06 and .300 Win Mag for checking chamber length and bullet seating depth. The storage box is compact and protective (something that other more expensive brands don’t include), the labeling is sharp and easy to read, and the color coding looks great while making organization simple. Functionally, everything worked perfectly. The set I received was slightly different than the product photos, but not in a way that affected use or quality. When I reached out to customer service, not to complain, but to see if I could get different set screw, they went above and beyond to help me out. Their responsiveness and willingness to assist really stood out. All in all, I’m extremely happy with this set. It’s clear that Altitude Craft cares about both their products and their customers.

I bought this as part of a kit with the bore measurement tool. It’s a very good alternative to name brand versions. I used it with a set of Quinn (Harbor Freight) digital calipers and it work beautifully. Highly recommend!

This kit is a tremendous value. I use this primarily for verifying reloads and factory seating dimensions on 5.56, where OAL measurements can be all over the place with open tip match bullets. Toss the adapter on your caliper, insert the bushing, zero it out, and you're ready to go for super simple ogive or base to shoulder measurements. A fantastic tool at a fraction of the price of the big brands. The metal tin/carry case with foam cutouts is a nice touch for bench storage, though it didn't do a great job of holding things in place during shipping.

I am no world class shooter n either are my reloads so will not dump $200+ on rocket science tools. This provides a consistent measurement that really helps in repeatability for next time you choose the same combo n when loading a batch. Every bit helps n if this does not then you are not using it correctly.

Quality product as expected

Very accurate. Nice packaging to keep everything organized. Excellent value and quality for the price. No need to pay twice as much or more for the same thing from the big ammo makers. Definitely recommend.

Works well, and is consistent

Very good set of headspace and seating depth gauges including 17 Hornet.

Item looks good. Have yet to test. Packaging for delivery is questionable though, it came in a regular amazon envelope with not internal protection, so when I opened the box the comparitor does were all over the place and I assume banging against each other. Considering that this product is meant to measure PRECISE distances at thousands of an inch, perhaps you could put a cover foam on top of the dies as well to keep them from coming out of their spots during delivery? Will test for consistency and adjust rating if ok.. but please consider the improvement in packaging.. or alert delivery to deliver with more care.
