I have a bad blood clot in my left femoral vein causing chronic venous insufficiency. As a result my left leg feels like it weighs a ton and is hard for me lift. Thanks to this marvellous Leg up strap I can now raise my leg with ease. I have ordered 2 more One for the bedroom, one for the car and one on standby, for downstairs.

Tried a different version of one in blue, not good, this came and has now assisted the user to move their leg without assistance whilst in the wheelchair, avoiding severe pain and giving more independence, this is a good product, the only downside is perhaps an improved design is possible which would allow the user to maneuver their leg at a angle that is not straight on, also the ability to secure the loop would be beneficial, using similar method as a picker up device, it would be worth paying more for that feature, this is an excellent product and good design.

Make sure you get the foot lifter the right way up, you want the smaller, padded loop around your foot. Easy to use, just pop your foot (from the bad leg if this is the case) through the smaller loop like a stirrup. Lift up your good leg onto the bed (this is just an example), sitting up, and then gently pull up your bad leg up using the device and then gently remove the strap once you have both feet where you want them. Mine was very well made, no rough edges, strong rivets, couldn’t recommend enough. I’d been looking for something for a whiled like this to lift both legs into the car and it works a treat there.

Excellent gadget. Partner couldn’t have managed without it after hip replacement surgery.
