The wired CarPlay on my 2017 CRV became so problematic recently. I’d connect my IPHONE and would get a myriad of error messages; No device detected, this device is not compatible, a USB error has occurred. Sometimes it would connect to CarPlay but most times it wouldn’t. I tried all of the recommended fixes; restarted my phone and my CRV, brought a new charging cable directly from Apple, checked my settings, etc. Nothing worked and it had been working since I bought my CRV in 2020. This device was recommended in one of the YouTube videos about fixing wired CarPlay issues. I was a bit miffed at having to buy something to fix something that had been working, but I took the plunge. This device was so easy to setup. I just connected it to the correct port in my CRV, paired it and just like that, my phone connected to CarPlay with no issues, All of the CarPlay functionality was there. This device saved me from pulling my hair out.
