There isn't a super strong fishy taste so you can definitely tell that these are high-quality bonito flakes. Each pack comes with 4 individually packaged bonito flakes. I would say that each package would be equivalent to that of one serving. While it's not a lot, I think these bonito flakes are perfect for those who are just starting out with cooking Japanese food at home.

Thoroughly enjoyed adding this as a finisher to bring a bit of savory unami to enhance our dishes and it did not disappoint.

Only 8 grams total and the price per ounce is way more than what you would could get at a local asian market. This would be good for someone who rarely eats takoyaki or okonomiyaki and needs a little bit for that one or two times they make it as they are portioned out and maintains freshness. I would go for the larger volume bag, especially if you have a cat at home.
