I discovered haramaki's from my Japanese dance teachers and thought what a great idea, and have been wearing haramaki's all through the cold months for years now and they certainly keep me warm.  These are a jersey material (like a thick tee-shirt) and are lovely, but thinner than my usual Kokoro ones, are shaped so you can only wear one way up and as I like to sometimes fold the top down if I get warm (happens in dance) and you can't with these as the fold down part is then inside out.I usually buy Kokoro one's as they're stretchy and are more of a knitted fabric and are basically just a tube with no shape, so fit better, can just pull them on without wondering if they're inside out, upside down and can fold the top down and it still looks good.  Kokoro one's also look good as a skirt, belly warmer or even wear as a cowl / scarf plus you can pull it over your head.However, these are nice, look good and are more suitable to the not so cold months.

I already had  the short version of this and often wished for a longer version to wear as a skirt over leggings or thick tights to keep my thighs warm on colder weather.  This is just the job.  I'm a size 16  this fits perfectly.
