While the stock OS works fine, I highly recommend pairing it with a 256GB SanDisk/Samsung Extreme SD card and installing OnionOS—it transforms the device into a sleek, super customizable powerhouse with seamless access to literally thousands of classic games (anything from Atari 2600, DOS, Vectrex, NeoGeo, GBA, DS, and even PS1). The build quality is superb, it has a great battery life (I can play for over 6-8 hours no problem, depends on the games you play honestly), the screen is vibrant, and the portability is unmatched. To the seller: Thank you for offering such a gem at such a fair price! This is a must-buy for anyone craving retro gaming perfection. My Miyoo Mini Plus hasn’t left my side since day one—worth every penny! I would buy another one maybe in another color just to have it, seriously.

Fantastic little emulator. Super fun, very easy to set up, and very customizable.I bought this to play some old favorites and I didn't like playing on my phone, so I found this and got it. I had it shipped with OnionOS, and I would recommend anyone do the same or get it installed. I also recommend getting another SD card, but so far the generic one it came with hasn't caused me trouble. The build quality is pretty good, I've seen some defective ones but that seems to be uncommon. The buttons are accurate and feels good, the screen is high quality and you can configure the colors to get the retro-vibe dialed in, and all of my games so far have worked very well. Features like the game switcher and WIFI connectivity is a plus, and the battery life is great too. It ships with a ton of games, most I removed though and a lot didn't work (not a problem for me honestly). One con I can think of is the size of the console is still a bit small despite this being the plus version. I could see people's hands cramping after a while, but at that point you should just take a break and go outside. The thing autosaves when you power it off anyway. Overall, great for anyone who have a basic understanding of computers and who like to tinker around with stuff. I'll update my review if something comes up.

The Miyoo Mini + is a fantastic little device. The case and screen protectors were a nice bonus and make up for the slight price increase vs ordering elsewhere.That said, I paid a bit extra to have onion OS pre-installed. That was not worth it. The card was so bad and/or the files were corrupted to the point of constant freezing, lagging, load errors, and even charging errors. After purchasing a separate 128gb micro SD card from a reputable brand (maybe ~$12) and loading Onion OS and content myself, everything works amazingly and I have not had any of those issues.I fully recommend the MM+, but save a couple bucks and skip the onion OS install version.

I genuinely LOVE THIS.Pros:- functional, haven’t run into any issues with the battery or any heating issues. My main concern was overheating but i mainly play gameboy games so this is fine.- smooth. Gameplay is pretty smooth and runs like I remember back in the ye old days.- affordability. It’s a great first emulation device for first time emulation style gamers. This definitely makes me want to explore other devices as well!- so many games. OnionOS makes it really easy to control your games- portability. Great case and discreet size!The only con is I wish it was just so ever slightly larger. My fingers tend to hit the back of the system which has the L2 R2 buttons and that’s been a little frustrating to deal with, but that’s more a me problem than the system itself.

The device itself feels well made and has a nice screen, Onion OS is great to work with just as I have heard. I have big hands and while the device is on the edge of being uncomfortable it is big enough to play for a while without too much discomfort. It feels like an old Gamboy but is capable of so much more, Pico-8 is such a good source of original titles if you want something fresh! All the extra goodies in the package are nice as well!Just wanted to also add how repairable this is, besides the main computer board everything is easily swap-able with new parts!My one wish is wireless file transfer by default, something like local send but for Onion OS would be a dream.

I bought the Miyoo Mini Plus about six weeks ago, and honestly, I’m incredibly impressed. If you love retro games but don’t want something bulky, this is perfect. It’s small, lightweight, and fits in your hands super comfortably. This has allowed me to take my favorite games with me when I travel without having to bring several consoles, cartridges, etc.It comes with a bunch of games already loaded, which is awesome, and adding more via the microSD card is super simple. I’m already playing all my old Game Boy, NES, and SNES favorites without any issues.Battery life is solid—I can play for hours without having to recharge, which is great if I’m out and about. Plus, there’s some cool customization options if you want to tweak things a bit.If you’re into retro gaming, this is definitely worth picking up. It’s my new go-to for gaming while I’m out! Highly recommend!

The item does NOT come pre-loaded with anything other than a few homebrew games - so none of the pictures posted in these reviews are of what you get out of the box. Simply trying to drag and drop bios / rom files into the provided file structure on the card does not work; the game lists show up but just flashes a black screen and "crashes" back to the list. Even buying a separate card and trying something like Done Set which fully automates everything still doesn't work. You're better off getting something else if you want a simple out of the box ready to use product.** NOTE ** The seller was great though, quick order fulfillment and item presentation on their page - just a poor product and a little misleading.
