Whot Festive Fun!
This Grunch themed version of the card game Whot would make a lovely Christmas gift. Recommended for ages 5+, which I think is pretty accurate. The cards are bright and colourful with lovely Dr. Seuss illustrations. Instructions included, but very easy to pick up and play.

Fun, If Basic, Grinch Themed Card Game That Would Be Great For Christmas
[Originally the title read “Top Trumps The Grinch…”, so it is good to see that it has been updated to “Waddingtons Number 1 The Grinch…” instead, because it had been very easy to mistake this product for Top Trumps cards rather than “WHOT!”]This pack is a special edition of the card game “WHOT!”, that is themed around “The Grinch”.The colourful box contains a pack of cards, a pad of score sheets, and an instruction booklet (with the instructions given in multiple languages). The game of WHOT! is a match the shape/number style card game. It is effectively like a simplified version of Uno. As such it makes for a great first card game for younger kids to play together or to play with their family. Outside of playing it as a family, so that younger members can participate, older kids or those who have already played games like Uno, will probably find it a bit too simplified to be fun though. The pack suggests it is suitable for kids aged 5 or older, and this certainly seems about right. The quality of the cards is good, and the Grinch designs are excellent. They are especially appropriate at Christmas. That being said, at just 8.8cm tall by 5.8cm wide, the cards are at the smaller end of the scale when it comes to traditional playing card sizes. In conclusion, this is a fun, colourful version of the WHOT! Game. So long as you are aware of what the game is and the ages it is aimed at, then I can recommend this special edition pack. Given the theme and festive designs, they will especially make for a good stocking present. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5, is that at this price, and the age it is aimed at, I can’t help thinking the cards could have been a little larger than what they are.~ Ethics Statement: Amazon provided me with this product to review and asked in return that I give my honest and impartial opinion about it. That’s what I’ve set out to do in this review, so I hope you found it helpful. ~

Would make a great stocking filler!
First impressions of this were good, my daughter has just started to get into the grinch and loves spotting anything with the grinch on so was immediately impressed when she saw the box with its Christmassy grinch design! The game itself is really simple to play, it’s literally just matching the shape or number which was great for my 5 year old who has no patience to listen to long instructions and wants something she can win at! We had great fun playing it and it definitely got us in the Christmas spirit!Overall I thought this was a great game that appeals to a wide age range and is ideal for talking to family and friends house over Christmas s as it’s so small and easy to transport. 5 stars from us!

The Grinch WHOT!
This product was sent to me for review, as part of Amazon Vine. The below is my own real-world experience of using it.The cards come well-presented in the box, which itself is very re-usable, and a good size for travel. Each card is very colourful, with the character designs being detailed and recognisable.I would say that the set is ideal for beginners, since instructions are included, and even then, 'WHOT!' is not too difficult of a game for even a younger player to get the hang of.In summary, a good value item.

Fun Christmas game
This game is perfect to pop in a Christmas stocking or a Christmas Eve box. Fun for all the family to play over the festive period. I like that this is a quick game that is easy to play. It is a matching game rather than a top trumps type game.A fun game full of popular characters from The Grinch. Also perfect for travel as it’s nice and compact.

Not particularly captivating
I feel like this is a version of another game I’ve played before but I can’t remember which, it’s a bit like Uno. You have a pack of cards and the aim is to get rid of all the cards in your hand. You do this by trying to match either the picture or number card on the pile and you have to pick a card from the deck if you can’t. There are several wild cards which you can play on any card. The cards are Grinch/Hoo themed with different characters on the cards. I got this game for my four year old. He was very excited to play it but lost interest after one round. It’s not the most original, fun or engaging game. The rules are simple enough and it’s easy to pick up.When you play a wild card you have to state which card it would be if you played it. This is a bit difficult if you’re not familiar enough with the brand to know the names of the characters.
