A level standard above the rest
This little unit is absolutely well worth the purchase. Not only do you get the self-leveling laser level, but you get an incredible, well manufactured, and 'not cheap' tripod unit that works really well and is not what you would expect from and included unit. The amount of laser options available for this unit at this price range is incredible and works really well for all tasks. If you need this for DIY projects do yourself a favour and check out this unit before making a more expensive unit choice.

Very capable, super bright, well designed with all the accessories
I remember when laser levels were new and used only by professionals because they were $$$$$$! I love that they're now easy to use and easy to buy.I own a Bosch basic unit and while the Cigman is quite a bit more expensive, it offers several features my old baby Bosch does not. First are the accessories. This level comes with a pretty nice tripod, which works well, has bubble levels to aid setup, lever locks on the legs.It also has a magnetic mount so you can mount the laser level on a metal stud, appliance, etc. Cool tip: it sticks well to a corner bead (the metal strips used to create corners in wallboard), so if there is an outside corner, you have a floor-to-ceiling place to stick your level. Sweet. It also adhered well to a pole lamp. The 360° laser is something my Bosch does not have. I found a surprising immediate use. I was moving a TV wall mount the the opposite end of a room and when I positioned the laser line on the old mounting holes, voilà, I had the exact height for the new holes. Find the studs on that line and drill, baby, drill! The only negative comment I have is the case. It's a nice, zippered, foam-lined case but it only holds the level. I wish it would also house the magnetic mount and the manual.Speaking of which, you don't really need the manual but there are a few extras you might not discover.- Manual mode: The "lock" mode freezes the laser lines in place (so they are no longer self-leveling). To use, slide the switch to the Lock position then press and hold the power button to turn the laser on. This could be used if you needed a 30° line, for instance.- The buttons vary brightness and which beams (vertical / horizontal) are on.- There is also a pulsed mode for use with a separate laser receiver for long distance leveling.

Very good laser level- many positive features
I'm an enthusiastic convert to this sort of laser levels- the daylight visible, green, highly flexible ones. I used early laser levels that were red and nearly invisible, these are night and day different.Having recently completed a big bathroom remodel with a lot of large format stone tile, I can't imagine doing the job without this sort of tool. After having come to rely on one, it is clear that ANY construction project in my future is going to involve a laser level. That said, my old level had some deficiencies that this one corrects. This is not the cheapest level on the block, but I think the cost is justified. Why I think that:The off-on function is easy to access. You are going to want to shut it on and off, sometimes with grubby hands. Hopefully without disturbing the settings. There are adjustable levels for brightness- this I'm sure saves battery. The interface is clear and logical. The compact cylindrical shape is easy to handle- being small is good, and this is about the diameter of a soda can, but shorter.Related, the very nice padded case is small enough to fit into a toolbox- my old level has a big camera bag sized case, this is another instance where smaller is better. If you are not using the tripod (included and nice, with its own case) you can set the level on any surface or use the magnets incorporated into the base to stick it to metal. This is very handy and my old level doesn't have it.USB-C charging, with indicators for charing and state of charge. The lines are bright and clearly visible in daylight. There is a sensor mode for use over long distances when the laser light is no longer clearly visible, I have not tried that mode, but I can see it could be very helpful for larger outdoor projects. All in all I give a five star thumbs up to this laser level.
