I have a 2012 Toyota Camry and a Camelbak Eddy 1 Liter water bottle. After being annoyed that I couldn't fit it in the average cup holder, I bought this and it works perfectly! The cup holder expander is a sturdy, simple design. I appreciated it so much I went back and bought another for a friend.Just a note: it is lightweight and tapered, so if your water bottle is as big as mine, it fits snugly and kind of gets stuck on the water bottle, but I can "unstick" it with just my pinkie finger when I pick up the bottle with one hand, so it's not a big deal at all.

Much to my chagrin, I should have read the reviews first. This thing is flimsy and extremely unstable. My truck (2000 Ford Explorer) has two different size cup holders in the front. Even in the smaller diameter one, the adapter doesn't fit all that snugly and it flies out over any pothole or bump. And forget about making at turn at a decent speed without holding onto it. The other problem is, it came with no packing slip and seemingly no way to return it. I have to do some digging to find out how to get at least some of my money back from this piece of junk.

TOYOTA 4RUNNER cup holders will not hold a ceramic coffee cup. I will never bring an open container into the beautiful interior, butthe dear little wifey will only drink from medium to large open mugs. I spend too much time cleaning her spills, but she wanted a RAV4 andcompromised on the 4Runner, so I can deal with it, I thought. For the last 5 years she has grumbled, and I have cleaned, but no more. Thisadapter drops right into the rubber ashtray insert, and it will hold all mugs, except maybe a soup mug! The bottom of the handle cutout is flushwith the top of the console, so most handled mugs will sit at an angle. All you need is a little shim of some soft absorbent material for a functionalupgrade. I also carefully painted the top of the opening with whiteout so it could be seen better in the dark. A happy wife is a happy life, and perhaps a 2015 4Runner!!!

My 12 oz. Yeti mug does not nestle to the bottom, leaving a one inch gap. Otherwise, it holds it securely in the car's cupholder.

As other reviewers indicated, a large cup or water bottle that is top heavy may tip this over, as the bottom that fits your vehicle's cup holder is smaller. However, I found that folding over a beer can cozy into two layers and fitting it over the bottom of the adapter resolves this perfectly and it now fits snugly in the cup holder. The actual cup holder part of the adapter is great - it holds large mugs and especially sports bottles extremely well. Altogether, a really good product, for a very reasonable price.

This was a perfect solution for my Tacoma truck and my Yeti 20oz and 30oz, and the ridiculously small cup holder that Toyota put in their trucks, though I did slightly modify. By wrapping the bottom portion with weather stripping that is 1.0" x 3/16", I achieved a snug fit into the factory cup holder in the console. I then applied some of the weather stripping to the inside, in three equal areas to the circumference, and achieved a perfect fit to both Yeti cups. Holds the cups with no rattling or movement, yet doesn't require a tight push to get them in or out. I happened to have gray weather stripping, black would have blended better and probably would have looked like it was manufactured that way. Overall a great solution for my particular situation. Hopes this helps someone with similar needs.

Product is simple plastic and not adjustable. Important: They are very light and the lip in the center requires a flat supported console to steady them. Otherwise they could tip over very easily. Bought it for a 2012 Dodge Charger which has small can size (12 oz) holders. Fit my original car cup holder fine but still not big enough for me. I like to take Gatorade 32oz bottles with me and they don't fit. Seems like they were built for basically only large size drink cups from fast food places. Anything smaller then large and you run the risk of drink falling out of holder. Value: expensive for a piece of plastic that has limited capabilities. It will have to do for now since finding adapters is difficult.

So I see a few negative reviews about this so felt like I should chime in. I have a 2007 Honda Pilot and this fits perfectly with no modification. It’s the perfect depth and I think it helps that my cup holders have those little rubber flaps to grip cups/bottles. It grips this cup colder perfectly. My bottle doesn’t reach the bottom but still fits well enough that it isn’t going anywhere. If you look through the description, it does give the dimension at the bottom of the cup holder and my bottle is bigger so that’s my own fault. All in all I’m very happy with my purchase.
