Amazon Made Fire TV Alexa Voice Remote with TV controls, requires compatible Fire TV device

My original Alexa voice remote that came with my 2022 Fire TV Stick 4K Max started playing up before stopping altogether. I tried the obvious fixes first, like changing the batteries and resetting the remote by holding down the left directional button, the back button, and the menu (three lines) button simultaneously for 12 seconds. While that trick actually got the old remote working again for a single day, it completely packed up the very next day. When looking for a replacement, I decided to go for the genuine Amazon remote rather than the cheaper third-party alternatives, mainly because the budget options use infrared rather than proper Bluetooth. This genuine Amazon remote works absolutely perfectly with no pairing issues at all. In fact, it actually feels slightly better and more robust than the one that originally came with my Fire Stick. There is also one small design difference that I personally prefer: this model features four shortcut buttons at the bottom for Amazon Music, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and an "Apps" button. My older remote had a dedicated Disney+ button instead, so I prefer that this new version gives me a direct shortcut straight to all my installed apps. Every single feature works exactly as it should, including controlling my TV's volume and power. Setup was also quick and incredibly easy. I simply turned off the Fire TV Stick at the wall socket, plugged it back in, and as it was loading up, I inserted the batteries into the new remote. After waiting a minute or two, a message popped up on the screen saying a remote was not detected. I just pressed and held the home button for 10 seconds, and a new message immediately confirmed the remote had paired successfully. It is a good, hassle free replacement. This remote has single-handedly ruined my fitness goals. Why would I stand up when I can just say things and they happen? I pressed one button and said, “Alexa, play something,” and boom: entertainment. No scrolling. No arguing with the TV. No accidentally opening the settings menu and questioning my life choices. The TV controls actually work, which already puts this remote in the top 1% of remotes worldwide. Volume up? Done. TV off? Done. Found the remote under the couch cushion after losing it for the 400th time? Still working. Absolute champ. Now my household dynamic is: Me: “Alexa…” TV: “Yes, my liege?” If you own a compatible Fire TV and don’t have this remote, you’re basically living in the Stone Age clicking buttons like a caveman. Five stars. Would surrender all other remotes to it without hesitation. 📺🔥

We were unable to use this remote as setting it up relied upon us using the old remote which we did not have We had to wonder who replaces their remote if they have the old one and it works

Nach dem Austausch wieder sehr gut Die Alexa-Sprachfernbedienung funktioniert nach dem Austausch wieder einwandfrei. Die Einrichtung war unkompliziert und die Sprachsteuerung reagiert schnell und zuverlässig. Seit dem Tausch keine Probleme mehr – bin sehr zufrieden.

Thicker shape is much nicer to use and hold. Feels more premium for some reason compared to the OG 4k Fire stick remote.
