Wheel worked well enough for the price. The tray didn't snap together but seemed to work fine anyways. Family loved this small wheel and even my youngest was able to throw a small cup with some help.

I've used this wheel a few times as I'm taking pottery classes locally and come home to work on skills when I get the chance. This ha everything I needed to get started (aside from a kiln/firing/other supplies) and was easy to set up and use. 11 inches was perfect for me as I'm just getting started. The only thing I can point out is it's low to the ground, so if you want it higher (I've got a bad back) I had to stack up bricks to raise it up for myself.

I tried multiple wheels from Amazon, this one being the worst. I don’t know if it was just mine, but the drip pan wouldn’t fit together and the pieces that were supposed to attach together seemed like they would snap and break so easily.When I contacted the manufacturer about the issue, they offered $20 (which isn’t close to enough for a new drip pan) OR to ship a new one that would take a month.I decided to persevere..within 2 uses (only using a pound of clay) the wheel started making a terrible grinding noise inside. There was nothing obstructing the wheel head. Nothing was dirty, there was no reason it should be catching or grinding. I returned after that.I saved up a little more and found a used shimpo, and the difference in quality is insane. Instead of buying these cheap wheels every few months, save up and buy a good quality one that will last you years.

It includes all the necessary tools, except for extra paintbrushes, making it a perfect choice for beginners or pottery enthusiasts who want to enjoy their creative pastime without hassle.As shown in my photo, I was delighted with the plastic clay cutters, as each one created a lovely design that I easily painted and dried. The drying process was quicker thanks to the included heat gun, which I used for my air-dry clay and paint. I'm also looking forward to spending more time with the pottery wheel to improve my pottery techniques. Although the enclosed instructions were basic, I found many helpful YouTube videos that demonstrated various methods for making small bowls, plates, vases, and cups. My only caution for beginners is to have a water bucket on hand for cleaning their hands and tools, as clay can clog indoor plumbing, and any clay water is best disposed of outdoors.Overall, I rate the Mini Pottery Wheel Kit five stars because it is well-equipped and includes a variety of essential, quality components. However, I opted to use my ACMI (Art & Creative Materials Institute) certified clay instead of the air-dry clay included in the set. ACMI clay contains no materials in sufficient quantities that could be harmful to adults or children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable pottery experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to give this set to anyone interested in learning more about pottery, and I would include ACMI air-dry clay as well.

I received the pottery wheel. It was packed in two boxes. At first I was afraid that there was a defect, because the disk was noticeably scratched. But after checking it in operation, I was convinced that it did not interfere. The machine works well.

I’ve been dabbling with making pottery for awhile and finally decided to get a wheel and I’m so glad I chose this one. I’m impressed with the power and quality, as well as how easy it is to use. The foot pedal makes it simple to control the speed depending on the pressure I’m exerting. The 11” diameter is quite enough room to hold a good amount of clay and I can make larger pieces. The removable splash pan keeps my work area clean and is easy to remove and clean. This pottery wheel is quite impressive for the price and well worth the investment. I’m super happy.
