JJC ML-L3 Wireless Infrared Shutter Release Remote for Nikon with Carabiner

Easy to use and works perfectly with my Nikon D90 camera. You need to address the settings menu on the camera to enable the wireless function. This replaced my OEM Nikon remote which got lost. I believe this works better and seems to have a longer range. Remember you need to be able to have fairly good line of sight of the camera. My only issue was installing the battery. It is very easy to bend the positive (rim side) contact when putting the battery in. It also wants to pop out. So, a slight struggle getting the hatch to close. Great product and value.

I was nervous this wouldn't work for my 20 year old Nikon D40 that i still have and use today. Thankfully worked perfectly out of the box. Love the carabiner clip that came with it to attach quickly to my strap. Makes the use of it more useful and easy to grab for sure. The only thing to remember is changing the Nikon camera setting to remote prior to using, until i did that, the remote would not work and i was pretty confused at first.

Works pretty well. I've had others that are smaller and easy to lose. I like the hard plastic button better than the soft rubber ones of others that don't always trigger the shutter on the first push. The price was decent. I also like the fact that it has a carabiner to help keep track of it. I haven't had the chance to use it at a distance yet but up close it works well.

I bought it to steady my camera on critical shots, besides it is also great to take group selfies. The only drawback is that being an IR remote, you must point the remote to the front of the camera. Kind of a pain when trying to take a moon shot, for example.

I thought that I would add to the equipment that I have with the ability to take pictures remotely and came across this item. Once I put the battery in it worked with very little effort.I am very pleased with this purchase, as well as this product.

Performance inconsistent. Not problem with remote device.

Update 2: Returned the original and got a replacement. Replacement doesn’t work right out of the box. Seriously annoyed that Amazon is making me return a $10 defective product at Kohl’s but hey, I can return them both at once and save a trip! I wanted this to work because I love the clip feature but it appears to be junk. Look elsewhere. Update: Replaced the batteries and it still doesn’t work. Got like two practice shots with it before it bit the dust. Save your money! Got this before a hike where I wanted to take some long exposure water shots. It arrived, I opened it, tested it with the camera, all was working great. Put it in my trail pack so it would be ready to use. Two days later, I had set up my camera on the tripod, ready to go- and it didn’t work. I think the battery is already dead.

Very good product. Well finished, much better than the ones with a strap you need to pass through a hole. You just attach the hang to your camera strap and it will always with you. It works like any other remote control. Some situations it will not fire the camera due to angle or light. The best I have had.
