Strong (bold if you prefer) taste but not bitter like a MANY french roasts. Has me switching brands.
As good as any other samatra K-Cups I've bought and costs less. I've bought 2 52 cup boxes so far & experienced no QC problems or broken pods. Considering I go through around 10 cups a day the 20 cent cheaper savings adds up pretty quick.(Surprising consideriing the jumble style packaging. I've had more busted pods in Name brand boxes like black silk.)I wrote the above for the Caza Samatra line & it's showing up as having wrote it for the dark roast... so I'll add areview of the dark roast here too. the 100 cup box is the best deal on K-cups Ive seen. The aroma is great and the taste while a little on the burnt side like most french roasts taste is still within the range of what I consider as OK for a bold coffee. Jury's still out on if the cost makes it preferable to the samatran whose taste I think I prefer.

Best all around for taste and price of the 30 brands I've tried.
Other reviews on Amazon are rating different types of Caza Trail coffee other than the Sumatra. I went looking for the Sumatra Coffee because I've found it to be the boldest and most flavorful of them all. I'm on my third order now of the 52 cup boxes and I'm really happy with it. It's not bitter but strong and that's what I want. Compared to the most popular Starb***k's brand of Sumatra it's as good or better at half the cost. I've made over a hundred cups so far and I've had no pod failure issues or any other unpleasant issues with this brand. As long as the quality and price stays this good I won't even look for a better coffee because I'm convinced I've found the best. If you don't like strong coffee don't buy it. It's strong but not bitter.

Single Source Fair Trade Organic Guatemalan
Reviewing Single Source Fair Trade Organic GuatemalanFirst, I love that they offer a fair trade option. After watching a documentary I try hard to seek out fair trade products (especially coffee). 5The taste: It’s fine. Mellow, smooth, no bitterness, but it’s just not a dark enough roast for me. I need something bold in the morning & I want a lot of it. I’ve resorted to making a small or medium cup in the keruiug to try and get as much flavor as possible. I just wish it were a darker roast. I would classify it as a very mild medium roast. 3Price; amazng! Was very surprised at the cup price especially since it is a certified fair trade coffee. 5

Bold coffee dirt cheap
This is what I've been looking for. K cups of a dark and bold blend at 30 something cents a k cup. I am specifically speaking about the Sumatra Gayo Mountain blend. I had previously tried the Midnite Velvet and it was not the dark bold I was looking for. It turned out to be super weak and basically coffee flavored water. So order the Sumatra Gayo Mountain if you need that dark, bold brew. My hard to please fiance who drinks only Community Cafe Special even liked it. You can keep paying .70 cents or more per kcup if you so desire but I'm a penny pincher...so this is myy new go-to blend. Order it..and if you love it come back and hot the helpful review button. This review brought to you straight from the Harvey flood zone in Texas.

For Sumatra lovers, these K-Cups are the best!
I've evolved through the various phases of coffee snobbery and Sumatra is my "what" and K-cups are my "how". After many, many brands I took a chance on a 52-count box of this Caza Trail Sumatra and HOLY CRAP is this good! Someone else wrote that there's "something else (delightful)" in there and I agree. Sumatra is a dark, smooth, bold and very strong coffee, but it tends to get ashy. This stuff not only comes out of the Keurig perfectly, it switches out the ash with something else (not sure what, but it humps your tongue after and I love it)!Look, you're making a decision - my advice is simple: if you already know something about Sumatra GET IT. If you're experimenting, find out about Sumatra first then GET IT. Simple.
