Q: Looking to get a network switch to support poe. would the 65w power rating work, or does it need to be 250w?

Yes. I've used various ones, including the $30 65w ones on amzn.

Q: If i have the newtek plugins for obs installed, will this cameras appear an an ndi sorce when connected to the same switch as the pc?

Yes. Connect the camera to the same switch as the computer and then configure the IP address of the camera. Install the obs-ndi plugin (it may require you to download and install NDI-Runtime in NewTek). Everything is ready and you will be able to find your camera in the NDI source of OBS. You can also find and use it in other programs that support NDI, such as Studio Monitor in NDI Tools, etc.

Q: What onvif protocols are supported?

Support the standard Onvif protocol. Live video, Imaging setting, PTZ control and more.

Q: Is the audio input also embedded into SDI?

No. Audio input only embedded HDMI and IP.
